I liked this very much. I got a little confused in some parts but, found myself again. I must say I've never pictured Ukitaki with Gin. GinXAizen. Interesting. In some chapters it was too much Uki/Gin for me though. I guess all in all it was a solid piece though.

This was a great story. I wish it would continue, but such is life. I love the Renji and Byakuya pairing it is my favorite pairing. There is just something sexy about Renji that gets me especially when his hair is down.

My first aff.net review.. I have to say, I absolutely loved your fic. I was a little wary at first - for some reason Byakuya seemed a little ooc to me. I absolutely hate Gin, and I must say I'm slightly angry at the fact that I liked him in this story! He and Ukitake do make a cute couple, though it's not a pairing I'll actively pursue. Everything was beautifully well-written and flowed nicely. I only came across minimal mistakes in reading. I really liked the interpretation of Renji's tattoos, it was really unique and intriguing. The end of the story made me slightly sad, though. Especially with how far into the manga I am. Sorry if I'm rambling, it's 2am and I've been reading the fic for a few hours now! All-in-all, a wonderfully composed bit of literature =)

Ok, so, quick question:

"The younger shinigami knew that the nobleman had his sword positioned for the Bankai..."

Shouldn't Byakuya be ascending to his Shikai first? He's not there yet, Senbonzakura is not in a released form, correct? But then, why not just threaten to slip into Bankai considering Renji could probably handle the Shikai anyway... to some extent, anyhow.

Moving on, I really like how you write about Byakuya's household and whatnot like you actually seem to know how it's all laid out. It's refreshing to see someone take confidence in their imagination, you know? I'm glad I stumbled across this story.

And *le gasp*! Renji didn't want it?! How unforgivable! What a... hilarious concept. *snicker*

I'm sorry, but I'm just having such a difficult time with the pairing. I mean, I always had Ukitake paired with Shunsui, never Gin. Holy crap. Never, ever Gin. Especially since the freak is evil! *scary noises* EVIL.

Great story. So glad there was a sort-of happy ending with Bya and Renji. My heart would have broken if it hadn't worked out.

~whines~ I loved the ending... it made me so sad to read though... espcially knowing all that stuff that you refered to about Renji and Byakuya... a heartwarming tale with an ending that could freeze the blood of all Renji/Byakuya fans... it was beautiful ^_^
And the pairing of Ukitake-taichou and Ichimaru-taichou was quite unexpected. I loved it also.

As usual, I really loved it - couold it be otherwise? ;) Ieeeeh - I might cry my heart out because this was the LAST chapter, but I'll try not to - looking forward for your other fics!

Oh, Touda! You know I love your work, right? Anything that you write is so eloquent and beautiful. I just feel like you should have more reviews to this than you do. It's such a beautiful sweet story with just the right amount of angst and porn to make your readers drool.
