At first, i wondered what kind of story this would be. As I read on, I slowly began to fall in love with this story, and read it all to the end. It's a sweet story, though the ending is sad, I feel for Ukitake. Not that you might listen, but if you ever wanted to do a one-shot sequal to this, or add a chapter, why not do Ukitake's opinion when Kaien's wife dies, and when he is defeated by a hollow and possessed?

that was truly beautiful. any ukitake fic is great in itself, but this one was just so damn good. I love this taichou, and I'm sad that there are so little stories about him, so thankfully i read yours. Truly excellent.

Poor Ukitake. I like though how you resolved the whole having a wife issue, I think that's why people don't write this pairing more. The suggestion from a reviewer before is a good idea, the whole Kaien/Ichigo look-a-likeness.

Please keep writing more fab stuff.

I loved this pairing. I'm just sad it's a one-shot. Maybe you should write another. Possibly one that describes how Ukitake felt when Kaien died or when Ukitake saw Ichigo for the first time. Just a suggestion. Anyway, thanks again. Ja.

I cried so damned hard DDD: Good lord, I love this pairing so much, and I'm SO HAPPY to have finally found something that's not just a picture of them hugging, which is the only kind I have right now... Anyway, back to my review, I love the emotion in this piece, it really is some of the most sobbable fanfictions I have ever read. Like, ever.

Keeping hinting at it in Breaking in the Reins, which is just as awesome, I must say. And keep writing, too! All your stuff is so amazing. Breath-stealingly amazing.
