Wow, I can't believe I've only just discovered this story. It's fantastic! I love the interactions between Grimmjow and Ichigo; I never really imagined their relationship from this angle before but nonetheless I find it very believable and IC. It's a pity that this fic is not completed but I've enjoyed reading what it here and I'll keep a little hope aside that you might one day decide to finish it. Either way, you've done a great job here!

This story really was a masterpiece! I really want to know how it ends :(

Okay, so obviously Lys is not updating this ever again, because it's been a few years. Which has not stopped me from checking up on it every few months JUST in case...
Does anyone who happens upon this know where to find a story that is very similar? I don't care about plot specifics, but the way the characters are written and the pairings?
If so...
It's just so sad. Why stop writing? This was a Bleach masterpiece!!!

Painful and harsh and tense. I really like how this story is developing. While sparse with interactions with other HM inhabitants, I don't really mind, because there's so much body to the interaction we see with the characters on-screen.

Ichigo is so well done, still at odds with himself, still stubbornly blind and grasping onto his humanity with both hands, no matter that he doesn't seem to be certain if that's still what he's desperately clinging to.

And Grimmjow, delightfully antagonistic and bold-faced, disregarding his own safety like there's nothing that can harm him, simply because in his preferred reality, there isn't, no matter how wrong that view truly is.

Ulquiorra is as frightening as usual, no bark, all bite, but with an edge that you've written so the the sword of Damocles that hangs above others in his scenes is always so prominent, always so threatening.

You have no idea how much I'm enjoying this story, words cannot do it justice.
