This really made my heart twinge. I couldn't even imagine how awful it would be to have someone try to kill your child. You captured the quiet pain quite well, I think.

Your characters are always so damn spot-on! Isshin may play the fool most of the time, but just like Kisuke, he can break bad when pushed. I was soooo hoping to see the "key" being put to use, but I guess I can wait. You do so love to torture us don't you. But I also appreciate how this story is still going and I'm going to miss it when it comes to an end.
