Hi! I'm wintry_eve, pleased to meet you!
I'm new to AFF, and like you, I opened this account just to review my fave authors. This is my first review too, at least here, I must confess.
Yesterday I started reading your story and I really enjoyed it so much, that I had to print it to read it again at home (I read it during my break at work). And when I noticed your comment about being your first fic, I just couldn't believe it, since you have a really neat writing style. So congratulations on your first fic, because it's just amazing!

I just wanted to tell you that this is one of the best bleach fics that I have read. I can't wait to read the next chapter. You are doing a great job of keeping them all incharacter and keeping the plot flowing smoothly. Please keep the story coming.

AAH!!!!! No! Don't end it so soon! Renji just got rejected [for what seems to be the second time, ouch.]!
But yeah. The whole idea you have there--major profit, baby. I love it, I can almost feel the anger that Rei-chan has. It's terrible though, because an instructor of mine [good friend] was used that way and now she's depressed 24/7.
Aww, Renji. :( All for the sake of a good plot and the following action. One must have conflict. You know, I used to get irked about the way Renji just CLINGS to the idea of yearning to be with Rukia. Urgh. Just when you know you like, you find out he STILL WANTS HER.

Ah, the complexities of the heart. Such drama like you never beheld ^_^ 'Kay, now first of all (and most importantly) I adored this chapter with as much fervour as the previous chapters. It's hard not to with such likable characters and a story that is clearly written with such love and devotion.
It seems that you empathise with the characters as much as we do and it is gratifying to know that the writer possesses such enthusiasm :)
I don't know if you realise it but you do this thing where for a moment everything seems wonderful but straightforward in a way (as in, yeah Reiko'll end up with this guy) but then you write so nothing is clearcut, it could go either way and the reader is left feeling excited and contemplative. (This is good, you're unpredictable!)
Renji is a dork and I say this with love <3 You have him entirely IC too. He is a guys' guy and you often see him going about doing what men do in Soul society (so if he was on earth, he'd be hittting the clubs or whatever with Kira and Shuuhei) But some people favour this aspect of his character over his dorky characteristics that make him so likable. (these are seen a lot when he has moments of downtime and do give him more depth) You clearly balance the two to give us the full Renji deal to make him the kind of guy who could totally give you a cuddle after beating offf the muggers/bullies/hollows/arrancars whatever >.>
The speech Reiko gives to Renji is textbook romance (not that that's bad at all) but you totally overturn my expectations with your follow-up.
Renji WAS on a rebound, that is undeniable BUT he DOES care for Reiko an awful lot. So she's actually partially right in that sense. The whole "blah blah kuchiki " part is rubbish at this point BUT you've set up the possibility for some interesting interaction between Reiko and Byakuya in a different context and a confrontation with Renji and Byakuya.
Also Reikos Soliloquy was a great way to drive home her P.O.V and emotions,
So in conclusion, great stuff and a consistently high standard. Like I have frequently said. LOVE Renji but in the Byakuya/Reiko camp for the long haul. Excited either way about a new chapter wherevere you decide to go with it (and I do have my suspicions but not to push expectations, I'm just going to wait and see) Go nd be filled with inspiration m'dear ;)

Ye gods. Byakuya could have handles that better *smacks head* He really does lack tact and sensitivity in certain areas. How IC. This is really getting good. I can't want to see where you are going to take this. ^_^

*fangirls* Dear God, that was incredibly difficult to read. I've been waiting for them to meet so much that I nearly died of complications resulting from anticipation. That was a brilliant interaction between the two of them was awesome, to say the least. I'm sorry but i am firmly in the byakuya camp but whatever happens (because it's pretty ambiguous right now)I'll be perfectly happy with the outcome. (Waves Byakuya camp flag ;P)
