You've definitely kept my interest with this chapter, especially with that last line, I can't wait to see what happens! :)
I love the way that they're interacting with each other, it seems like Ukitake is one of the few people who would make a real effort to get close to byakuya, I mean who else would smile in the face of a Kuchiki glare. Also Byakuya has always struck me as someone who doesn't just chat away to anyone but you get the feeling that Ukitake could probably get anyone to open up, he just seems like someone you trust. I can't wait to see what direction your going to take with the story, I'll definitely look forward to the next update! ^_^

PMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG Oh... My... GOD! You picked up my absolute favorite crack pairing in this story aswell?! Byakuya and Kenpaki... LOL. I must say that you had me rolling on the floor in a fit of insane laughter. Thank you! Im liking the story so far though. Im looking forward to the next chapter.

Interesting. I Merely read this because I wanted to know who Shunsui left him for. But how does Byakuya completely understand??? Who left HIM for a younger man. And I wanna kick Shunsui ass! Arrgh! but it was funny that he went after a newly eighteen Toushiro... lol. I liked it.

I definitely think you should continue but I admit that's because I love the idea of Ukitake/Byakuya :)
Poor Ukitake, I can't believe you made him cry and I also can't believe you came up with a pairing like Hitsuguya/Shunsui-I'm still not sure what to make of that. I can't wait to see what direction you go with this because as you say it could be very cracky or you could actaully have a rather good serious story on your hands. Either way I'm really looking forward to the updates and finding out what happens ^_^
