Happy Belated Easter ...

***LOOKS UP WITH HOPEFUL CHIBI EYES***
Pweeeeeeze say the nice person at the computer store got your computer fixed good and it's working this time ...

Or do we get to pout at the horrible computer gremlins some more and at the meanie at the computer store that put your computer on the back burner and forgot it ...

...... Tries to sit patiently and wait for an update of one type or another ......

Hope your classes are going well this semester and that you are doing well too .... Glomp

Hmmm ... Just trying to be helpful here hon ...

Could you perhaps get hold of a thumb drive and save any untweaked rough drafts directly to that until your compie with the files is available ... just to get the bunnies down and keep them from overrunning you ... and so you have at least a little of the work done when you do get back online

If nothing else you can jot down the basic bunnies and tweak or expand on them while you wait. That way if some are awesome but don't work for this ficcie you have them in storage for use in a future fic ... or as a basis for a future fic ... (ie what if all of Aisen's Espadas were simply clones (soon after hogyoku evolution) that "King" Barragan had Szayel create so that the real espada could watch as events unfolded. Imagine all of the 'dead' dead guys coming back and trying to negotiate a treaty now that the rebels Aisen, Tosen, and Gin are gone.)

Wasn't trying to put on any pressure ... was just wondering if there was any news one way or the other ... and how classes and RL were going sans compie. Glad to hear you are doing fairly well and the bunnies are still alive. Sorry to hear that there are still compie issues but hopefully within a month there will either be a ficcage update or another status update. Huggles and thanks for telling us what's going on and that the bunnies haven't wandered off.

I keep hoping that you, your computer, and your muses will soon rejoin us with more of this lovely ficcage. With St. Valentine's past and the spring festival of Easter approaching Szayel could be introduced to the playful distraction known as the Easter Egg Hunt ... and possibly get a taste of seasonal sweets. Then of course comes Mother's Day ... quickly followed by Father's Day ... if the little angels still haven't arrived he might be the obvious candidate for the star of the Father's Day festivities (he is currently documented as the only confirmed daddy candidate in the official records). Just seeing his reaction to celebrations he either never experienced or has forgotten about would be interesting.

Still hoping for a belated Szayel playing Valentine's Day Cupid chapter but ... might just have to settle for the images from that review...

Hugs, computer issues are an unavoidable tragedy when they strike. Hopefully things will look up for you soon. At least this gives you a bit of time to possibly plot out story points, make some decisions on events to come, figure out paternity results once the tests are requested ... If requested. (still hoping more than one pretty little cherub is Szayel's) ... Perhaps You can get some rough drafts written on paper while the electronics are down ... that way you can type them up once you get back on-line ... and can try to keep a little ahead of posting for a bit ... to make it easier on you. Will hope you get back on line again soon ... can't wait to see more of the pretty pink butterfly flitting happily around his own private field of beautiful flowers (or at least at one time it was private). Will be as patient as possible and remind myself it is just a longer wait for me but it is most likely highly distressing for you (hugs). Hopefully you can at least read the reviews and get a bit of inspiration or suggestions for future chapters ~ or other fics.

by the way ... Happy Early St. Valentine's Day (now would be a great time to know how to draw ... so we could see Szayel dressed in a cute little Cupid costume ... his own wings of course)

Hmmm ... I wonder ... If Szayel were made aware, intentionally or accidentally, of a symbolic gift-giving occasion between friends and cared-for/loved-ones, would he attempt to provide a token for each female under his current care? While I am not fully knowledgable about international or inter-religious celebrations of this sort I can name a few in the USA ... St. Valentine's Day, Christmas, Kwanza, Hannukah, Mother's Day, and birthdays are the first that come to mind ... though they might be combined and/or given a different name there. If the 'visiting' males who are assisting with the experiment or care and welfare of the females happen to suddenly show a desire to provide a token gift to the female they are associated with (for example, Shunsui giving a huge bouquet to Nanao ... or even Yumichica giving Isane a cute little Teddy Bear ) and Szayel notices the reaction enough to inquire about it ... would he make an attempt to give each a little something so she feels special in his eyes too (especially given their current conditions)? I wonder how he'd interpret the giving of gifts with a qualifying statement to the women and their reciprocal reactions (ie Ukitake handing a tiny wrapped box to Unohanna and saying 'Happy Birthday' ... and Unohanna giving him a warm and affectionate hug in return). Or just the impression of sad, wistful longing coming from a girl or two ... and one of the other males actually sitting him down and explaining about the upcoming day and its significance along with the celebratory events/expectations surrounding it (most likely Ukitake or Shunsui ... Unohanna, Isane, or even Rangeku might off-handedly mention it as a way of explanation ... not thinking about the difference in their cultures).

Just a thought for a 'filler' chapter if you need a tension reliever between the characters, a way to break the ice for some reason, or just feel the need to show the clash of cultures in a less violent way (well less violent by the end at least ... could lead to ruffled tail-feathers at first most likely).

Hmmm ... An example of the last suggestion might be Valentine's ...

Isane is blue because she and Yume had a lover's tiff ... she comments to a concerned Nanao that she probably won't be getting anything from Cupid this year and Nanao replies that it is unlikely any of them will get a visit from him. Szayel overhears the conversation on his way to check on Rangeku. During his short visit he asks her to explain the signifigence of Valentine's Day and tell him exactly who this Cupid fellow is who is important enough to cause at least one female to be distraught by his absence on the specified day. Rangeku proceeds to inform him that Valentine's Day is only THE most important day to a woman and it is supposed to be full of romance and special little surprises from a special someone. She then goes on to explain that Cupid is the embodiment of romance and the deliverer of all the special surprises ... and that he is supposed to be a pretty winged boy who wears almost nothing besides a cloth draped around his hips and carrying a bow and quiver ... though the weaponry is probably optional. Szayel checks around to find out what kind of special little surprises the women might be expecting from this strange man who sounds surprisingly like him (from Rangeku's description). The women giggle and simply say 'You know' or 'It could be lots of things' ... in exasperation he turns to one (or more) of the males whom he feels able to trust the most, probably Ukitake but it could be whom ever, and gets the answer ... usually flowers or candy ... Upon getting 'a straight answer' Szayel disappears for several hours, he is still in the compound but is unseen. In the middle of the night a few of the men are up chatting and hear something odd coming from the women's wing. Upon checking it out they have to bite their tongues to keep from laughing ... Szayel in full release (wings out) and dressed in only a table runner, is stopping at each females door and putting down a little box with a couple of flowers on it ... every females door whether they actively participated in the experiment or not (ie Hinamori, Isane, a random female tech from the 12th who is there covering as a cook ... every female).

When asked later by one of the men he explains 'I gave that Cupid fellow time to arrive but when he didn't show I took his place so the ladies wouldn't be disappointed.' (Way to make Yume feel like a jerk for his fight with Isane ... especially when she comes in all smiles later when he's alone and covers him in kisses for the wonderful gift and maybe hinting that it was so thoughtful that he even deserves a little something extra... ). (Now what would the ladies do if they found out it was all Szayel's doing ... and one of the guys even got a picture of him dressed as his interpretation of Cupid in the midst of delivery?)

Adendum to the last post ... of course the dim lighting and slightly long distance would minimize the visibility of poor Szayel's scarring.

Kind of wonder how the guys would feel after seeing Szayel go out of his way like that for all the ladies when he had never heard of the day ... and they had blown it off then initially received the credit (you know they'd be in the dog house once the girls found out it was all Szayel's doing that they had such a memorable day and gifts ... ok maybe not candy from him but possibly a little jewelry trinket like a hair ornament, necklace, bracelet or ring ~ Isane's gift is a ring of course ... hence her overjoyed reaction ... lol)

Hope the scenic and comedic reviews are helping to pick up your spirits and maybe waking up your muses just a little.
