Hopefully all is going well.

Hon it isn't an inconvenience for us (the readers) ... it is just depressing to not see our beautiful pink-haired butterfly flitting from flower to flower and giving each one her due attention, making sure they are all safe, cared for and feeling special regardless of who the father turns out to be ... and of course making it clear exactly who the dominant male of the territory is (even in regard to the women he hasn't mated ... most likely including any other women of the 12th that are there besides Nemu ... lol ~ could so see a junior female member of the 12th just rushing around preparing and delivering meals to the mamas and having an accident of some sort ... and him making sure she is ok, taking her to Unohanna if she has even a minor injury like she hit her head or sprained her ankle, and then cleaning up the mess so nobody else falls and gets hurt before she gets back. lol. Just because he's 'the bad guy' doesn't mean he can't also be polite and charming in his given situation.)

Hopefully classes go well and start of semester chaos settles down soon so you can get a chance to kick back and relax a bit ... and maybe even peek in on the plot bunnies and see what they are up to ... or at least where this bunnie is exploring ...

Loving the fic so far and can't wait for more ... still keeping my fingers crossed for a few delivery-room surprises for everyone involved ... and some cute/distressing interactions between various individuals and little 'angels' ... or is it 'devils' ... maybe it should just be left at ... hmmm ... babies?

I'm sure there will still be more chaos for the mamas, Szayel, and the staff before the big days arrive. I'm pretty sure there were more volunteers but I don't know if they will be called or not ... with the second round being much more controlled in that they aren't allowed to leave after the fact ... thereby negating the possibility of ... cross pollination from another random bee in the flower garden? (metaphorically speaking of course).

I'm also still curious about Soi Fon's daughter as well as the possible second espada you mentioned a while back.

Good luck this semester and hope all goes well ... This 'one shot' is definitely taking some interesting twists and turns.

Completely understand hon, college is starting up again here too. (better luck with classes this semester ... I remember the group work and lost assignment from last semester).

Hope my reviews are at least a little helpful with restarting the spark ... not sure exactly where you are heading but I will try to ask questions or speculate on near future events based on recent chapters ... and leave the hollow/shinigami option open ... though I do have a preference. (ok ... change the hair color of the baby but keep the Ca'En Ba-Ka comment when ya read it ... would be priceless to see Byakuya so charmed by a little toddler that he'd be willing to call himself an idiot in front of anyone).

Hmmm ... might help to just outline the major info and fill in fun events between them.

For example:

1. Settling in and getting acquainted.

2. Arrival of Akon (and others?)

3. Well mommy checks and possible second round of candidates.

4. SoiFon appears (with/without daughter)

5. Resistance distress.

6. Second espada?

7. .... (you get the idea ... Can fill in the blanks between as much or little as desired with random funness but you would have a general path to follow ... can even note who the daddy is for each child and if it is a boy or girl ...) (still hoping Szayel has more than one mom carrying his offspring ... just to have him surprised and caught off guard since it would mean his pet theory was wrong ... )

Hmm .. Can see a lot of options open at the moment.

1. Now that the mamas are settled in maybe Isane can get her room assignment and start to unpack. A jealous Yumichica might offer to help (his only real interest being testing the bed springs as much as possible). A possible argument arising if she whistfully mentions wanting a baby of her own someday and him blowing up. Szayel hearing the commotion after a last check on the mamas and looking in on the disturbance in his new territory while on his way to check in with Unohanna. Comforting Isane (but not making any sexual advances on her) and getting her side of the blow-up. Szayel then confronting Yumichica and deciding he needs a good swift kick in the balls to set him straight because a kick in the ass wouldn't be anywhere near enough.

2. The women's slumber party. The men (including Yumichica and Szayel) getting together and breaking out Shunsui's stash while getting acquainted and/or sharing thoughts on the current set of events. The men deciding to check out the women's party ...

3. The appearance of SoiFon and/or her daughter. Everyone's reaction to finding out SoiFon has a daughter and each person's reactions as well as Szayel getting a chance to assess whether there is any trace of hollow riatsu in the child at the moment. Possibly Unohanna and Szayel talking about normal child development after birth ... noting that the hollow children usually have a suppressed riatsu signature until they are old enough and strong enough to leave their parents.

4. Arrival of Akon. Possible return of Miyori. Possible demand arriving for an observer from the resistance group ... or even a confrontation with the resistance group.

5. The other mamas should be ready for their first round of tests ... and Nemu for her next round ... maybe see the results and any differences in development including any potential anomalies that may or may not be normal since shinigami birth rates are so rare but they might also be due to the father being a hollow ... that is still up in the air.

I'm sure I've missed a lot but those are the first scenarios I can see branching from this point.

Oh ... and you did mention a possible second hollow making an appearance at some point.

Sorry ... Couldn't resist the baby talk joke ... With the baby breaking the words down into simple two syllable words that only contain the dominant sounds ... like 'Toe' and 'show' for Toshiro (making him sound like a sandal wearer ~ toe show) ... Of course mama would be Rangeku ... and 'Ba' for Bya and 'ka' for kuya ( which unfortunately makes Byakuya sound like an idiot ~ baka ). I just figured he'd initially be offended but would quickly realize the baby was trying to say his name and just messed it up because of the limited speaking abilities ... she got the dominant sounds in the syllables but not the more minor sounds ... who knows he might take a slight interest in helping her learn how to say his name correctly ... just his excuse for checking up on her progress a bit more frequently (she has him wrapped around her little finger so to speak).

The way Chojiro is acting definitely makes it sound like he is willing to let Szayel be the primary male in Hinamori's life at the moment ...

Kinda hope Isane has a bedroom with a window for Yumi to sneak in ... and an espada who makes it a habit to drop in to chat often ... just for the fun of annoying Yumichica (Szayel is being very responsible and seeing to everyone else's needs ... he needs something he just does 'for amusement' for himself) ... and Yumi needs a swift kick to get him to take a more committed step with Isane.

Still hoping for Szayel to gasp in astonishment at being so totally wrong when the babies arrive ... and discover Nemu isn't the only mama of his babies. (so wanna see Rangeku have a pink haired and aqua eyed little girl ...). Still can see the stunned Byakuya having a baby thrust in his arms and being told to 'contain the danger' ... and Byakuya discovering he has a serious soft spot for the babies (especially the little pink haired charmers...). Of course the council would insist on periodic monitoring of the babies to ensure they were not becoming dangerous ...

(mama Rangeku takes her toddler in while she does paperwork ... Baby is just learning to talk ... Captain Toshiro escorts Captain Byakuya into Rangeku's office to see the baby on random safety check ... baby doing the unsteady toddle waddle to mama's desk to try to get her bottle ... baby sees the visitors and squeals happily while rushing unsteadily over to them with her arms up (the 'I know you'll pick me up' run) "Ca'En Tow-Show! Ca'En Tow-Show!" (baby talk for Captain Toshiro) Toshiro smiles and picks up the little girl to present her to this month's inspector from the head council ... the little girl squeels happily and hugs Toshiro then nervously looks at the taller man and holds Toshiro tightly (shy baby around stranger). "It's ok (baby's name) this is Captain Byakuya, he's just here to see how you are doing. Can you say hello?" Rangeku looks up and smiles encouragingly at her daughter. The little girl, still clinging tightly to Toshiro, peeks shyly up at the icy face of Byakuya and in a soft sweet whisper says "Ha-Low Ca'En Ba-Ka". Toshiro jerks in shock as his eyes open wide in horror, Rangeku gasps and pales, Byakuya's eyes narrow momentarily as a hint of a disapproving frown settles on his face. The little girl smiles up at him for a moment before seeing the disapproval, then she pops her thumb in her mouth and hides her face in Toshiro's hair ... tears welling up in her eyes when she peeks up at Byakuya again with a tiny whimper. "Hmmm I see she is finally developing her vocal skills." Byakuya notes before his face softens into a smile "I think we'll have to work on that a bit ... but for the time being I guess I can be Captain Baka just for you" then he takes the little girl from a stunned Toshiro's arms.

hmm, so he's just gonna stay away from momo? what a weenie. how do none of these males do the math? chojiro has but is too weak to do anything about situation, & rest apparently have brains for work matters only. so excited for when poo hits fan & the shinigami reiatsu or gene code is revealed. heck, just the sonogram should show difference right? hopefully toshiro will show up alone minus mayuri & show more brains & balls than his older counterparts (& hope this is far enough in future that he's more man-like b/c otherwise it feels like ranny is a pedophile).

Wow ... Yumichica sounds very jealous ... or like he doesn't trust Isane at all ... still wonder what his reaction would be if Isane started showing pregnancy signs and then tested pregnant after what he walked in on ... he could suspect that she and Szayel got frisky during some 'alone time' while Nemu was sleeping and the others weren't around. I do think he enjoys the feeling he got from making Yumichica jealous though. It really is refreshing to see the one that has the (balls, stones, cahonnes ...) what ever you want to call them ... to actually challenge Szayel's position as alpha with one of the females in the territory (Isane) is the 'effimanent' Yumichica.

Get the feeling that the more laid back males will be viewed as beta's at best ... and with his attempts to avoid Hinamori I get the feeling that Szayel will either see Hinamori as abandoned or paired with an omega.

Am still surprised that Kyone isn't being housed with the others since the baby could still be Szayel's ... even if there is no guarantee.

Hope the guys do some bonding (Shunsui style ... with amply flowing alcohol) which leads to a potential 'panty raid' or at least an eavesdropping on the women's slumber party ... would love some of the observations about the various women by the spying guys ... and the reactions of the other men. (ie Ukitake getting an uncharictaristic leer in his eyes as he slowly lets his eyes travel up the legs of the woman kneeling over the small pile of pillows while the women shared intimate fantasies. "Mmmmmmm I've always been a leg man you know ... and that's a feast for a starving man if there ever was one." The rest of the men turned shocked eyes to look at the refined and soft spoken white haired man. "Actually if it wasn't for her 'well known social adventuring' I'd give-in to my love of a long warm drink of milk ... heavy on the cream." one of the other flushed-faced men drawled. ....) each man focusing on a 'delicious' trait on a female other than the one they are somewhat paired with ~ including Szayel indicating an interest in someone other than Nemu (not that any of them would follow through ... They are just making observations and stating deeply buried fantasies). I'm sure it could lead to interesting interactions the next day if any of them remember what was said. Of course it also gives the women to giggle and gasp at their shared fantasies too ... and possibly secret crushes (past or present).

I honestly can't see Unohanna or Nemu using 'that type of language' and the likelihood of Byakuya or Ukitake using it is slight but somewhat possible (though I'd expect a quick apology to follow that was directed to Isane regarding the 'inappropriate and indelicate' language. Akon, Mayuri, Shunsui, Yumichika, most of the other male officers, and possibly a few females (like Rangeku or SoiFon for example) could possibly be questioning the scene they walked in on ... in fact it could even be Chojiro walking back through since he hasn't left yet. It will be interesting to see just who walked in.

Kinda seemed like Szayel was coming on to Isane because of his body language ... it will be nice to see how his body language was viewed by Isane and by the new arrival.

enjoying the story so far. hope mayuri gets killed in action or something & never returns. wonder when the scanners would be able to note the babies don't have any espada reiatsu, just shinigami... how far into pregnancy in this fantasy universe would their technology be able to be used? I suppose the story would be over too quick if tech was too accurate/advanced. hope the males are all around whenever that scene gets played out so we get a nice mental pic of stunned captains/lieutenants getting news they will all be daddies! As pissy as mayuri is bound to be, the daddies collectively will be able to shield the moms, right?

Have no guess who just walked in at the end there that would have that reaction--akon? yumi? hopefully not mayuri...
