Hmmm ... If Szayel says he knows the essence is necessary but he isn't sure if the actual physical joining is required ... Ichigo and he can jointly surmise that the essence is the required component from the alpha (H'Tsu using the condom and filling it under a reluctant Zangetsu's watchful eye) ... But in truth the physical component required to bring about the reaction needed for the mixing (which would last for a while in the beta) could be induced by anyone. Ichigo can offer the job to Zangetsu first (he's done his part by ensuring H'Tsu provided the essence as requested) then after having a terrified Szayel (figures he's stuck with H'Tsu again since he hasn't yet seen the condom) set up a temporary mating nest in the bathroom, he can 'order' a stunned Grimmjow to provide the physical part and administer the essence contained in the condom ('H'Tsu's already been too rough with him, I'm ordering you to make sure Szayel has the most pleasurable experience possible and as soon as you finish you will gently insert the condom and break it ... and no hurting him afterward either') ... It would be priceless to see the look on Grimmjow's face when given the order ... then both faces upon him entering the bathroom and crawling in with Szayel ... and how things might change between them afterward ... Grimmjow might actually find he enjoys the feel of doing Szayel since he still can't top Ichigo ... even seeing Ichigo peeking in once the noise has quieted down and seeing The remains of the discarded broken condom on the floor and Grimmjow protectively curled around Szayel while they both sleep it off ... and of course their reactions several hours later when they wake up like that ... of course the nest is not removed until Grimmjow can check to see if it worked or if Ichigo needs to bring out H'Tsu after all for a 'supervised' visit since he's already proven he can't be trusted to obey his alpha in this regard.

For some reason I get the feeling that if Szayel were in no danger of attack (ie not in Hueco Mundo and in a riatsu shielded place ... like Kisuke's basement cavern ...) he wouldn't necessarily need his markers refreshed so much if at all ... Hmmm can we hope they go back before the next refresh so H'Tsu can be told 'No way in H*** or Hueco Mundo or even on earth' is he gonna get to abuse Szayel again (though I'm sure Ichigo will inform him none too gently that he will resist the refreshing as long as possible because of H'Tsu's bad behavior). I wonder ... Is it the physical act and stimulated hormone release or simply the presence of the alpha's 'essence and genetic material' that does the refreshing. The first would require direct mating ... the second would require H'Tsu to use a condom and get himself off ... then Szayel simply insert and break the condom ... with no contact with H'Tsu (now wouldn't that twist H'Tsu's knickers and put Szayel ~ and the rest ~ a bit more at ease).

Now I'm curious whether Grimmjow is going to want more babies with Ichigo after this one.

Sadly the previously mentioned chibis will have to be mental images only since (unlike Blackstorm) my artistic ability in that area is severly lacking ... but I have tossed ya a few bits of muse/bunnie fodder in the past ... if that helps the request any ...

Still wondering if Szayel's weakened condition and now H'Tsu's rough mating .... along with generally low riatsu ... will cause pregnancy issues for Szayel (it would really be interesting if he was unknowingly carrying ... twins ~ that's why some eggs have double yolks ~ it would also be another reason for his more depleted and slower regeneration of riatsu levels).

Ichigo, Grimmjow, and Szayel having a ... Pleasant? ... Or even civilized? Conversation???? Oh my. We know H'Tsu will be obnoxiously vocal in Ichigo's head ... wonder if it will be enough to get Zangetsu to kick H'Tsu's ass so Ichigo can concentrate on what the other two are saying ...

Hmmm ... If we are patient with POV ... and give you chibi-Grimmjow, chibi-Szayel, chibi-Ichigo ... and ... Hmm chibi-Yumichika, chibi-Ukitake, and chibi-Byakuya eyes (with the others peeking from the edges of the overloaded stage ... Would you consider slightly faster posts of this ficcie?

Awesome chapter. Very hot. It was nice to see Ichigo put Grimmjow back in his place. It will be interesting to see how Grimmjow treats Ichigo and the dynamics between the three of them, especially after Ichigo mates Szayel.

Hmmm ... H'Tsu didn't know Szayel was a naturally born beta so I'm guessing Grimmjow is clueless to that fact as well. I wonder what his reaction would be upon being enlightened by any of the other pack members ... well any aspect of Ichigo that is or by Szayel himself. I'd love to see a bit of verbal interaction between Grimmjow and Szayel now that Grimmjow has read Szayel's diary ... especially if the convo comes after Grimmjow is informed of Szayel's rare 'condition'. Still wanna see the options Szayel is given for who to refresh the markers ...

(could see it being something along the lines of ...

"The topic of refreshing your markers was recently brought up by H'tsu." Ichigo said softly to the quickly paling scientist. "I told him it's your choice who does the refreshing." the pink-haired espada's eyes grew wider and a low threatening growl rumbled behind him.

Szayel glanced back to see Grimmjow glaring and bristling but otherwise not leaving his nest.

Once Szayel's eyes had returned to him Ichigo continued "you have a choice to make and I'll give you time to come to decide who you want refresh your markers. I will say this once, I am not an option." The low growls coming from the main nest abruptly ended. "Your options are your current alpha H'tsu, my beta Grimmjow, or Zangetsu."

A startled mew was heard from the main nest and Szayel turned disbelieving eyes toward the equally wide eyed espada in the main nest. Disbelief reflected in both sets of eyes.

Ichigo was dealing with H'Tsu's enraged tirade. "You ... You're really going to let him choose? And you'll let him dump me for what? ... Your beta or ... or ... or THAT!" H'tsu snarled as he motioned to the obviously stunned Zanpakto-spirit.

"Ichigo you should have asked me, or at least told me, about this before ..." Zangetsu started.

"If I had any other options I would have used them. Right now I've decided I will not be the one to refresh his markers. That leaves the only three options I gave him."

..... arguments, contemplations, perhaps even a brief discussion with an equally stunned Grimmjow ... then the decision ... who will he choose?)

Lol ... But that would be the comic dramatic style that I tend to write ... can't wait to see how you bring up the topic and give him the choices.
