Incredible work so far, your pacing, psychology, and bits of background are nuanced and compelling. You've created a very plausible plot that veers from traditional motifs. I love that you have rule-driven hitsugaya questioning, that Renji who always defied rules with Ichigo lost himself to rules, only to as you so perfectly said, have a "moment of clarity," and how age in years is nearly inconsequential to the horrors of violent experience. I also love your portrayal of Ichigo and Kisuke's relationship, particularly how so much of what drives Urahara is beyond anything self-centered...which so many authors tend to ignore in favor of casting him as a mercurial manipulator. I can't wait to see what more you write, please please please finish the story!

I'm really impressed with the character depictions and writing style you've expressed in this piece.
It has been a while since I've read a fic that has kept me engrossed in what's going on.
I was disappointed when I got to the latest chapter with Matsumoto crashing in and there wasn't another chapter to read.
I can't wait for the next update.

I read this all in one day & now I'm so consumed with what is coming that I'll probably die waiting for the next chapter. This is really good but I'm unsure & nervous about the outcome. I really hope this will have a happy ending or I think I might just cry.

I think I love you. Thank you so much for updating. It's been a while but I check on FF.net religiously just t reread this and see if you've updated. Your stories are so well written and hot as hell but you manage to get the pain and desperation in it, which makes the fires between Ichigo and Kisuke burn even hotter. Your work is brilliant and I'm a big fan.

I remember this story from waaaaaay back on ff.net. I liked it then and still like it now after re-reading.

The only thing that bothers me about it is the fact that only one new chapter exists since I read it well over a year ago. It's a shame for that to be the case. I hope that posting it here a couple days ago means you're going to start writing some more frequent updates for it, especially now that chapter 9 has left off at such a massive cliffhanger.
