My.....that was quite the..ahem 'dream' lol. Quite a few developments but would being able to counteract Aizen's shikai really give them an edge? And unless Aizen pops back up in the manga and reveals his bankai are you going to make one up for him or just have him not use it due to his arrogance?

Kisuke is quite the unorthodox brilliant son of a bitch aint he? I like how you brought up that he seems to hold all of hiss cards to his chest and do things solo without informing other of his long term plans. You have a very good grasp on the character I think. A lot of the stuff in the manga would have been so different if he had just let Ichigo and the crew in on his plans and maybe given them a heads up about Aizen before they even ventured into SS.

One thing I found odd from this chapter was how it was stated that it all was going to come down to Ichigo and Grimmjow. Ichigo yeah I could see being the linchpin in the final battle but wouldn't grimm be a little out of his league? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to have Ichigo and Starrk since the 2 of them when at their peak vastly surpass grimmjow and could actually prove a threat to Aizen in a straight fight? I mean Grimm is by no means weak but Aizen just has to exert a little of his power to bring Grimm to his knees.

"Sure, their relationship started off on the wrong foot."

Oh grimm, I like you but you just won the understatement of the year award my friend lol. The kid may find out one day about his dear old dads treatment of his mother, why beat around the bush and make it sound less than what it was. best to rip the band-aid off instead of repeatedly tugging at it.

And Yeah I could see how having a kid we know jack shit about beat up a fighter who gave Renji a run for his money would piss someone off. Made Renji look weak and never answered just what the hell the girl was to be able to curb stomp a fraccion level arrancar.

Chapter 80 Eurka moments
Another great chapter!!! I'm impatiently waiting for one next week though where Ggio gets to see his daughter Avi... I can't spell it but I remember that much. :) I think Szyel having the dream where they won was awesome :)

@Chapter 80: Wow, this chapter was great! The relationship you created between Szayel and Nemu really made me fall in love with both of them, as well as them as a couple. It was great that we got to see things from Szayel's perspective- his thoughts and inner musings on various things. I especially loved it when he's fantasizing about Nemu, that he's finally able to envision something enjoyable for a change... in this case, it's his lovely wife.

And then of course, there's the big revelation in this chapter- that they finally uncovered a possible means of counteracting Aizen's Zanpakuto! That damn sword was such a gamebreaker, but then as Kain put it, he was always this walking godmode to begin with. Ironically, he's become so arrogant over the last sixteen years, that he's done nothing to improve on his abilities. Sure, he access to the powers of the Celestial Throne, but he's lost that boost in power now and the rebels are about to figure out a way of countering his other major ability. I mean sure, he's always been innately powerful, but the gap has narrowed over the years, and he has made SO many enemies even within his own forces.

And while I'm sympathetic with Ichigo to a degree, on a number of issues, I find him to be pretty thick-headed at times. Seriously, he must have more important things on his mind than giving Diaemus the evil eye because he's the son of Ulquiorra. I'm also seriously glad that the characters realize they have more important things to do than prying into other people's dirty secrets. But anyway, I have to compliment you on finally showing another side to Hiyori. She needed more empathy towards the people she's been forced to work with, and it seems as if she's finally started to chill the fuck out, so good on you for showing her being more relatable.

As for your question... I don't think I could have come up with a better way of encrypting the data. The only thing that surprised me was that it relied on liquid being pored on it, which only happened by accident. Though, it's only a minor nitpick. Other then that, I think hiding it in the candy recipes fits perfectly with Urahara's off-beat mind and personality.

@Kain

Grimmjow isn't going to tell Diaemus about what happened, because he knows they don't have time for that kind of emotional shitstorm. There really is no reason for Diaemus to ever know about it, especially since his mother- the victim- has never even come close to even hinting at it. Besides, the only other people who know what happened- Tatsuki and *maybe* Karin- never mentioned it, then it's better to bury the past and move on. And personally, I don't think the kid deserves to experience such an emotional break. After all, people need someone to look up to and believe in, and sometimes it's the 'idea' of the person that's more important than the truth.

@DarkStar84

Oh don't mind me, you would be hard pressed to find a review of mine where I am NOT preaching about the subject of a character having raped someone in this fic lol. I adore Diaemus and don't hold anything his father did over him and would not wish any emotional trauma on him, it's just that I feel Ulq, despite having apologized for his past behavior got off a far too easy since Orihime is such a forgiving soul. I have mentioned it well over 100 times over the course of reviewing this story since part 1 that "easily forgiven" and "Karma Houdini" tropes just set me aflame with rage and I tend to get on my soap box and preach about it. You will find that not even the decent Arrancar like Harribel and starrk are safe from my rages lol. And I mostly speak of when the dust settles after Aizen is put down cause there is no way after all of the little reactions he has displayed of anything having to do with Ulq that ichigo is not one day going to have a confrontation with him.

Yes people, especially children need someone to look up to but please recall that Hana's "idea" of who starrk was took quite a hit when she discovered that he was the one who killed her father but in the end after some time she still loved him all the same. In my view it is better to know the truth of someone and learn to understand them than love an 'idea' when it could very well be a lie. Please know that I have the highest respect for your views and hope that I did not offend and what I have typed made sense. I tend to go off on a tangent when I get into typing at times.

Good chapter, but the frequency with which you reference Yoruichi's skin color is kind of creepy; everyone knows she's got more melanin that most other characters. You never hammer home anyone else's color, so why do we get so many "dusky" and "dark-skinned" descriptors?

@Chapter 79: There were a lot of interesting developments in this chapter. I can sympathize with Ajuga's frustration over being sidelined, it makes sense to keep her out of Aizen's reach. I liked the scene with Zee, it's nice to get some insight into the guy, and the prospect of finding out more about his realm sounds like it would be pretty interesting- and Diaemus clearly is looking forward to their sojourn.

On a related note, I liked the exchange between Ajuga and Diaemus, especially the way he used Chess as a metaphor for their situation- that they're too important to risk bringing them anywhere near Aizen. The dynamic between these two is great, he really is the only one with the temperament needed to deal with Ajuga, which is further proof of why they're so good together. I'm still left wondering what Orihime and Ulquiorra's feelings are regarding their son's recent "engagement" to Grimmjow's offspring.

And man, was Yuroichi spot on with what a total egomaniacal shitbag Aizen is! She knows just how power-crazed and evil he is, and she doesn't pull any punches when it comes to making things clear to Ajuga! Not that I blame her.

Great chapter, I'm excited to see what happens next... Though the wait is really killing, I'll endure because this story is just so good!

While I am pleasantly surprised to see the 2 Privaron Espada and Charlotte back in the game I am confused as to how the hell luppi is back seeing as how Grimm fucking vaporized his upper torso. I mean the others were still for the most part intact upon their deaths but certainly not him and how in the hell did Mayuri even find his remains? did Aizen just keep that shit hanging around in the throne room for god knows how long? I am also a little perplexed on the power levels as well. Charlotte is seemingly able to curbstomp a zombie bambiette(who is still able to use her volstandig) who was in her first outing was established as being pretty fucking lethal and easily a match for a captain. Although he did only lose to yumi because of his own screw up of concealing their fight from everyone else.

I personally would have loved to have seen stark come back, zombie or not. He deserved a better send off. and It would have been sick to see the primera cut lose against Giselle. I am also curious on where the hell Nel vanished off too, either she is still wherever the fuck Grimm is or the author forgot about her like he did kon lol. To see her fight to her fullest would be nice.

But barring all this I am a bit in agreement with a reviewer from fanfiction.net. While for me at least, it's cool to see some old faces, I would have preferred this remain Gisell's whole schtick. That and I don't like mayuri and would have loved to finally see someone put him down in a horrific way and use him as a tool.

And if I may be as so bold to ask, but what exactly is it that makes Yylfordt appeal to you? Granted we know next to nothing about him beyond being grimms fraccion and Szayel's brother he didn't seem to serve much purpose than to help set the bar on what was to come in the Arrancar arc and show that even a bankai wielding Renji had to catch him by surprise by releasing his power limiter to beat him.

But anyway, nice chapter but weekly updates kill me lol. The anticipation always kills me and I am not well versed in patience. Looks like Ajuga's learning to cool down her baser emotions and see the bigger picture. Despite being a hybrid she seems to only favor her hollow half so it's refreshing to see her curb her emotions. It will be interesting to learn more about the swarm and their realm. As much as I despise him it will be nice to see Aizen fight without being able to rely on the hogyoku and perhaps his shikai. Can't decide if that makes him more or less dangerous though, ya know that old saying of backing a wounded/rabid animal into a corner? All there going to do is force him to put a real effort into killing them all and even when ya take away his toys he still has his monstrous Reiatsu and vast kido knowledge and swordsmanship. The fucker was also fast enough to walk circles around Ichigo before even evolving.

I must say, Yoruichi speaking so bluntly about Aizen almost made me want to be able to jump in and stop her. I know why she did it, but it still hurt poor Ajuga a lot. I'm starting to like Zee more and more, and I'm glad that you're keeping Ajuga and Diaemus out of the battle; it makes sense.

As for your question, I really don't expect Szayel to show up, simply because he appeared in the beginning of the Jigoku-hen movie as being in Hell. Or was that in a short chapter of the manga? I'm not sure... it's been a while since then. I also don't see how Kurotsuchi could've revived him. I'm still waiting for Grimmjow to show up. I'm honestly getting tired of waiting. It's been so many damn years!
