Excellent chapter Blackfox, and I hope you feel better soon Nova, Happy new year to you both.

It hurts that we are coming to the end of this epic tale but it has been an amazing ride. There were tears, laughter and excitement and you both deserve all the praise for what you have created.

Hell yeah, it was soooooooooo nice seeing Rukia tear into the elders for there horrible behavior and treatment of Byakuya throughout the story and laying down the law on them. Byakuya gets his measure of vengeance and the 'Kyoraku girl' gets too go back home. I don't have an ounce of of sympathy for the elders. Although........ it would have been sweet to see the Arrancar get an equally venomous verbal lashing for there vile asshattery of epic proportions instead of the 'stern scolding with a warning' they were given.......I had to say it, you know I have a quota to meet lol.

I take it word is still traveling of the new status quo? Man, I really want too know what happened in that meeting, all these hints and tidbits are killing me. Is there a chance of a flashback or will there be a scene of the captains addressing there Shinigami on what was discussed? These just seem like really important events, to me at least, too important to gloss over.

Glad too see someone will remember Hiyori fondly and my god I feel gutted since Soi fons daughter will never know her mother. Soi only got to hold her once and didn't even get too name her. Speaking of the child, I assume all parental rights have been returned to Ggio?

That child is probably the only person in this story who I have never had a bad thought of, She is just so pure and kind and it is a trip considering who her parents are. Sweet and adorable, girls gonna be unintentionally breaking hearts left and right when she comes of age.

Late burd is so late with the review yet again. Work and the holiday are to blame, I'm sorry. But I'm glad to be getting this up quicker than my last review. My apologies for switching sites yet again. It looks like reviews over at FF are slowing down quite a lot. Must be the holidays, I think. Same with here but just a bit less.

3 chapters left? I dunno what I'm gonna do with myself or my time when this is over. Aside from still being totally beside myself over the issue with Ggio & Soifon, as usual. That scar will probably never heal. But I've had fics I loved dearly end before. Hopefully another will take its place. Because it helps a lot with my feelings of hopelessness.

Everyone is closing out their stories. Reuniting with family and friends,,discussing their combined futures after all this shit has gone down, planning Claim renewal, talking (gasp) about more spawn. I wish I could be truly happy for em all. But there'll always be a part of me that will always be that bitter old gryphon. Oh well, that's on me.

@Chapter 105: I wondered if you were going to post this chapter before Wednesday. And low and behold, I was right. I would have posted much earlier, but it only occurred to me to check less than an hour ago.

As for the contents of the chapter... I really enjoyed it, especially the parts with Ulquiorra and Orihime, and his reaction to not being able to read her through the claim. It was cute to see that Orihime is actively looking forward to having another child with Ulquiorra, which fits in with what we know of her desire to be part of/have a big family of her own.

I was sympathetic to Tesla's reluctance to have the claim broken, especially given that Tatsuki was the one insisting that they refresh it as often as they did. Unsurprisingly, Tatsuki fully wants to have the claim reinstated. As always, Renji and Nell were adorable, and it was cute when Renji said that he'd also like to have the claim reinstated!

As for Yumichika, I was relieved that it looks like it's just a matter of Orihime replenishing her reiki, before she can Negate the damage to his face, since he deserves a bit of good news after everything he suffered. He needs to be able-bodied in the upcoming days, given that he'll be returning to duty at some point, in addition to helping our poor Ggio-kitty raise Avispona (Ggio seriously needs hugs).

And as an aside, the brief mention of Sementall got me to thinking... Specifically, about how shrewdly she handled her father. She's basically wielding all the power when it comes to her mate and father. Given that she said the one thing that instantly crushes an angry father's rage: "I swear I'll never forgive you, daddy!" LOL. Smart girl, she.

And to Nova: I was a little sad when you said in your end notes that there's only three chapters left. Still, I'd REALLY love it if you wrote some kind of follow-up regarding the children (including the ones yet to be born), because I'd love to see some proper content with Renji & Nell's son, Toshiro & Tia's child, and Tatsuki & Tesla's son. Plus, it would be great to Ajuga and Diaemus' relationship develops down the line.

@Kain: I appreciated your little comment on the poetic irony of the situation, with the Arrancar suddenly having to adapt to a totally new world and laws practically over night. Further more, you're question regarding the fallout of that goddamn auction got my thinking...

First, I figure that Watanabe will stay with Franque and Michiko, since he seems pretty happy being part of their polygamous family. It's especially funny when you recall that Michiko was ecstatic at the idea of her husband/mate sleeping with a man! As for the two girls that Mila Rose and Apacchi claimed... Well, I don't think we've ever seen Apacchi's "girlfriend" (as far as I can recall). However, I do clearly recall Megumi. And based on how she interacted with Mila in that scene (openly flirting with her and whispering in her ear about showing her what she "learned" at the academy), I got the impression that those two seem to have formed an actual relationship even in the brief time they've been together.

And a very Merry Christmas to you, too....wait, only three...more...chapters?! You're almost...done?! NOOOOOOOOO! ::sob:: Seriously, this fic has been awesome start to finish, and it's a little bit freaky knowing it's finally reaching it's ultimate conclusion. Again, Happy Holidays!

Awwwww, only 3 more chapters? will there be another sequel or one shot specials? It still feels like there is so much more mileage to this story. Far too much to only be covered in three chapters. I live for character interaction. Apologies on not reviewing last chapter, unless I am in a certain mood I, for the life of me, just can't get down to writing anything and the last chapter was more of a cool down one for me so there's that.

It makes me feel like a dick when I say that despite this whole story being close to a total of over two hundred and something chapters it kind of feels like things are starting to move a bit fast as we reach the end. It's just that all these background events sound so interesting, to me at least and I would have loved to have seen the captain/espada meeting or the squad meetings to see everyone's reactions to the changes and how peace is going to be maintained. I loved the reunions but would have loved to here more about the kids stay in the swarms realm and the talk between Byakuya and Rukia. I would love to see Rukia rain hell on the Kuchiki Elders and it would be sweet if that girl they picked for Byakuya showed up again. Still curious on the status of a few "relationships" though:

-Are apache and mila rose still with the women they claimed(coughatanacutioncough)or now that claims have been put on hold are the women going to leave?

-What ever happened to that girl that Tesra claimed at Tatsuki's behest? She straight up ghosted from the narrative lol.

-I am going to assume the auctioned off Shinigami are no longer with there former masters? A week ain't ain't nowhere near enough time to form a bond. I actually feel sorry for them since they were sold off like cattle, if they were virgins, they are no longer, and now a week later it is all rendered moot. It's a good thing that it is rendered moot but still they get raped(not exactly any other way to say it)and now sent back like some walmart accessory.

Do the rest of the captains know about Soi fon dying? It feels like they haven't given a second thought to the fallen.

And now we come to 'Kain's obligatory slam of the week' about the numerous.

Well doesn't that sound familiar........although the changes for them come with sympathy and stern warnings but no rape or killings. Virtually impossible to empathize or feel sorry for them in any way shape or form. There are woobies and then there are easily forgiven Karma houdini's. They are the latter in my eyes.

Poor Yumichika,at least he still has Ggio and the baby. Has kenpachi gone to see him yet? Knowing kenpachi, he would have no problem bringing a hollow like Ggio into squad 11, if he in fact is returning to his old position and if Yumi is going to go back or stay with Nanao's squad. With Aizen dead they can finally get back to properly bringing back the other squads and refilling there ranks.

Nel and Renji are adorable as are Diaemus and Ajuga. Maybe now they can get some proper family time now that the whole family is together.

Saddened that this is almost at it's end, but you and Blackfox have crafted a work of literary art that is the top of it's class. Merry Christmas to you both.

Nanao has some really good points. I didn't even think of any of that when I assumed they'd renew their Claim. Poor Starrk. lol

Unfortunately while I do visit there and leave reviews I do not have an account. You're Bojack727 correct? I was in fact intending on finding the time to do a speed run of all the current chapters of "To Forge A Better Tomorrow" and leave my thoughts.

And I see and sgree with your point on the shinigami not exactly being saints before the war, Hell Rukia in the fullbringer arc even commented on how much they have changed, mostly due to Ichigo's influence and have become less rigid. Although peace is a two way street and while peace might have been impossible due to the Shinigami's conduct, the Arrancar would have made things just as difficult since outside of a literal handful, most of them are rowdy, battle loving killers. Aside from Starrk and Harribel who else from there side would have been open to negotiations of peace? And not too play devils advocate but the worst of the SS deeds prior were mostly spawned from a deep seated pragmatism and orders from central 46. They follow there duty to the extreme since the other option is often much worse.

And to your point on the prison's, I will admit it'smore or less sour grapes since I just think that there should be more accountability and more severe punishments that don't threaten the realms stability. And while I will agree that perhaps being war-weary and hesitant to start any old dances again is plausible, when your living in close quarters with the very beings who brought those 16 years of hardships on you, and the laws along with the mad man who made them or no more.......well revenge does have a certain appeal to it no? After all the shit you have had to go through, what do you have to lose? It is an inherent nature too seek revenge for wrongs done against you. They will need an outlet and if they see their captains still towing the line for their 'former' masters it is going to cause problems.

Now on to Tesla

I'll own up that I totally glossed over his helping of Rangiku, though while small it helped her keep her sanity and gave her someone to talk too before Tatsuki came into the picture. I don't "hate" or dislike him per se but as I stated in my response to Penryck, I would like him a hell of a lot more if he had actually faced some legitimate hardships akin to Ggio or Szayel minus the rape and along with the surviving Espada actually took some responsibility for helping make the last 15 or so years possible. Nnoitora was his major flaw point and perhaps now that the mantis is dead he will take off the blinders and start to see the less appealing aspects of his now deceased Espada. He does have admirable qualities but as the manga/anime showed during his confrontation with Ichigo, he also has a slightly sadistic dark side, the savagery was just calmer.

Thank you for that, that made a lot of sense and clears it all up for me. Sorry I just have a bleeding heart when it comes to Ggio. Nova, BlackFox, you, and Darkstar have done irreparable damage to me in that respect. But I guess I welcome it. No future Ggio/Soifon fic will be the same without my mind wandering back to the POV series. Darkstar's fic tho, I think I can stave off the POV thoughts for it. Forge is vital to my survival. (I'm Ayase Reincarnated on FF by the way, if you see me around)
