Well, least Nnoitra saved Rangiku and his babies, but he still thought of another woman when he died. Typical. I hope Yumichika's not dead and if he isn't, he can be healed properly. It'd be a pity to loose his beauty. I honestly thought u were gonna let Tatsuki or Tesra or the baby bite it. I was surprised you didn't go there.

Well, this was a delightfully intense chapter. And you even managed to slightly redeem Nnoitra, who'd a thunk it? Though I got to admit, the moment that second beetle sent Rangiku and Avispona flying, I had a little trouble focusing on anything other than, "WHERE'S THE BABY?!" But thankfully you didn't leave us hanging on that one, so, kudos. And, thankfully, Orihime should be able to fix Yumichika's pretty face for him, no problem, so no worries there. Well, until next week, then. Laters.

Well Nnoitra wasn't a total bastard after all. Good for him! I got worried about Rangiku for a second there.
Poor Yumichika! Will Orihime be able to heal the damage if it's not immediately recent? I can't remember that about her powers.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

You are positively brutal and merciless lately, holy sprink. These chapters have been a whirlwind of action, heartbreak, and raw power. I am at a true loss for words as to how to respond after 98 sucked out my soul. 99 hit me extra hard cuz holy shit early update. And to be faced with Yumichika being hurt so bad...you've winded me a second week in a row. Freedom has a sky high price tag. I just hope 100 will be a little lighter but also show that other groups have taken hits too. You've got your talons into me deep here and I can't fly away no matter how hard I struggle. Damn Nova. Damn Blackfox. You two are the rulers of a very terrifying empire.
Also Kain reviews like lightning, goddamn.

@Chapter 99: This was a very good chapter. Lots of great dialogue and character moments, mostly for the members of Nnoitra's pack. Not a whole lot to say this time, other than that I really enjoyed this...
I mostly agreed with Kain's review. Mostly. First off, this was probably the best outcome for everyone... Nnoitra finally does something selfless, saving Ran (and the unborn children)and freeing her at the same time with his death. In terms of his character arc, I rather enjoyed the fact that he consciously made the choice to do the one thing that Nell (or anyone else) would have expected of him.
I really liked the moments between Tatsuki and Tesla, with him finally asserting himself for once. As to Kain's remark about Tatsuki: It just struck me as small talk on her part, to keep Rangiku preoccupied, while she tried to figure out what do next. And Ran herself has never been shy about talking about her sex life with Nnoitra to others (in spite of the circumstances).
And then Avispona's two daddies show up to save the day! I'm still wondering where all that life-saving water came from, and how Kenpachi and Yachiru will react to seeing Yumichika after sixteen years.
Cant wait to see what happens in the next chapter!

"Nnoitora is down and the crowd goes wild!!!"
*background cheering*
Ahem now that that's out of the way, review time.
Well despite my happiness of him dying I will admit he went out in a good way. His one good deed was also his last. Will be interesting to see where Rangiku goes from here, very surprised she was apparently crying for him, but I suppose it could be the shock of what he did to save her. But his POV had me almost tossing a brick at my own laptop, especcially when he mentioned 'training her' For one blinding horrific second I totally thought you were going to kill off Rangiku, had me sweating bullets lol. When this is all over people are going to need therapy.........both in and out of the story lol.
Sigh....Tatsuk, tatsuki, Tatsuki.......She is the one character throughout this ENTIRE story who for me has straddled the line between "God I hate her" and "Holy shit I love this women". I don't know how you do it but whenever she is in a chapter I constantly cycle through liking and despising her. I have absolutely no issues with a person who has a large libido but that seems to more often than not be her default setting. There is a time and a place for swapping sex stories.........in the middle of a Warzone is not one of them lol. And swapping sex stories with someone who is quite obviously not in a consensual relationship is just tactless.
Kudos to Yumichika and Ggio for making the save and hopefully Orihime can repair the damage to Yumi's face. The swarm needs to get their act together and stop targeting people they aint supposed too.
So now we head to the aftermath, stoked to see what happens.
-waits patiently for the next chapter-

Reunion 2: My daughter
As sad as I am to see that Soi Fon is dead the battle and her death was proudly fought it just sucks that Hyori (as rude as she is I'm sad she's dead too, but it's well deserved for her recklessness) had she not jumped the gun well she might have lived. It was a great fight and I know her daughter will be taken good care of and Ggio will take such good care of his daughter! It was a lovely chapter and I know this is a character death story and each have been played so very, very well that their deaths will be amazingly done. Those who knew them will know they died with honor. You and Blackfox are doing a great job! Hope you two are doing well!!! And that you feel better!

Hugs. The story is going well and maybe you can give us a quick consolation shot of SoiFon's next life ... Or rebirth? Once things are calmed down & the realms are healing and replenishing their allotted souls. It would be a good reward for the defenders who lost their lives in the battle against Aizen (or for those who fought on Aizen's side under duress). I'd love to see Ggio earn a spot on one of the squads and be allowed visits to the human realm to watch SoiFon grow up again as a human ... Maybe as her doting guardian angel?

@Chapter 98: It's been raining a lot down in south-central Texas, where I live, to the point it could seep into you house through your back doors if the seal on them has worn out... But enough of that, on with the review!
I guess I shouldn't be shocked that Barragon had forced Ggio into some kind of degrading outfit. After all, it's the sort of shit I've come to expect from the wrinkled old ghoul. Still, he's clearly not quite as addled as some of the others had previously implied, considering how promptly he withdrew to his own 'den' and recalled his 'pets' to defend the manor. And just as Soifon is about to strike from the shadows, fucking Hiyori shows up! Well, as Soifon herself observed, this at least drew the Second's attention away from Ggio and Yumichika (*shivers* Gugh!). Then, the two are forced- via claim- to intercept Hiyori, which thankfully provided Soifon the distraction she needed to stab Barragon with a (presumably) poison-tipped Vespa.
I liked the fact that the narrative addresses the fact that even after being restored by Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka, the years of servitude and malnourishment she suffered means she's not at the level she was before the Winter War, which is a nice bit of continuity. I figure the reason why she couldn't fix Soifon's vocal cords is linked to the fact that they never bothered having her fix Ukitak's eye.
Ah yes, of course Hiyori had to be the one to go fuck things up!
*Good* thing I started writing out this review BEFORE I finished, because just as I was cheering on Soifon death-blow... She ends up dieing. Goddammit! And not just her, but Hiyori dies as well... Fuck! I didn't even like her all that much, but her death is still a sad footnote to the fact that poor Ggio looses the mother of his child/mate. What makes this even worse- than just loosing a beloved character- is the fact that yet another horrible thing has happened to Ggio, who just wanted to be happy with his mate and cub. Dammit Nova, you hold our hearts in the palm of your hand and you crush them in one fell swoop! You really got me with this, I can't believe you left poor Ggio-kitty a widower!
And then we get this little gem, *Ahem*: "He had just lost the only woman he’d ever loved." Do you see me Nova? I'm looking right at *you*, right now as I'm typing this out... You make it so that Ggio Vega- a Hollow- gains the ability and understanding to selflessly and unconditionally love another, only to then heap tragedy and heartache upon him, and cap it off by killing the woman he fell in love with? Is our pain and grief your nourishment? Kain is right about you, you are evil!
Aside from the fan-rage you're about to get, I can't even imagine how devastated Yuroichi is going to be: she lost her lover, Kisuke, along with pretty much all of her close friends, and now she's lost the *sole* remaining person that she ever truly cared for... Yeah, that's a really great fucking 'victory', when she's got no one to share it with- she's truly alone now!
As for Yumichika... Christ, first he thinks he's the sole survivor of the 11th because he didn't go down fighting alongside his fellow members, then he forms a genuine friendship with Ggio and Soifon, only for her to die after he got emotionally involved with them. This guy has to be harboring some serious survivor's guilt- seeing as how *he's* alive when dozens of others (including something like seven Captains and nine Lieutenants!). Still, Yumichika seems committed to helping Ggio raise Avispona... Well, to make a Kevin Smith reference, those two really are 'hetero life mates'.
Your closing statement surprises me... Not that Soifon would die, but the fact that you were surprised that so many people liked her. Considering all the American and Japanese fanworks she's been in, Soifon has always been a pretty popular character.

Before I review at FF, I wanna leave this so Kain and Darkstar can see it. I will put it on FF too.
I’m hoping Ajuga, as the Spirit Queen, can manage to find Soifon in the next life to at least give some closure to Ggio and Avispona. Cuz I highly doubt Orihime could reverse this much. It is all I can pray for.
