Ichigo's Bad Day
Orihime was an incredibly endowed young woman for the tender age of 15. Her breasts were large and full; they were that of a woman, rather than a teenage girl. They were also the envy of nearly every girl in her school, the dream of any man interested in women who had grown into puberty. Deny it as she might, Orihime enjoyed the attention and envy they generated... yet, she lacked the attention of the one she wished the most for.
Ichigo; she loved him. She longed for his attention, for his eyes to be on her... and yet he treated her as nothing more than a friend. There were no glances, no leers; everything about him seemed to show that he held no interest in her. Orihime couldn't understand why; Ichigo had a position in her heart that many would have killed for, a place that would have allowed him to do anything and everything to her.
But Ichigo, he didn't even bother to look at her. Something inside questioned what she lacked that he wanted; he spent more time with Rukia than her. Perhaps, then... perhaps he liked flat girls? If so, she was out of luck; she couldn't just make her breasts vanish! But part of her didn't want to admit that, it didn't want to recognize that he would never be interested in her. She had to ask Rukia; she had to get to the root of it!
And so, Orihime found herself waiting for Rukia during lunch; she had sent the others that they normally ate with away. She wanted a private conversation with the girl who seemed to hold Ichigo's attention. It was a long wait, it felt; or maybe it was due to her being pensive. If Rukia told her what she didn't want to hear, Orihime's heart would shatter like a block of ice. Only this way, she wouldn't be able to gather the ice up, chip it apart and make snow cones out of it.
"Orihime? Where are the others?"
A voice called, snapping the well endowed schoolgirl from her thoughts. Looking to the source she saw her; Rukia, a girl with a slender frame and small build. A part of Orihime made her hate the girl; why would Ichigo prefer this dark haired girl over her? She looked almost like a 12 year old boy!
"Oh, Rukia... I... well, I sent them away. I wanted to... talk to you. Alone."
Orihime answered, her voice nervous. Rukia blinked and cocked her head to the right;
"Oh... so, what is it?"
Orihime sat there, unsure as to what to say. Looking down, she stared at her lunch; an awkward silence descended between the two. Rukia felt confused, but let it pass as she went about eating; Orihime was the type who never did openly talk about things right away.
"Um... Rukia... I wanted to know..."
Orihime began, still staring at her lunch; Rukia muttered an 'eh' while eating.
"Is Ichigo... attracted to you...?"
Orihime finally spat out; Rukia in turn spat out her food and then coughed. Quickly she scooped up her drink and took a few sips; Orihime looked toward the dark haired girl.
"What kind of a question is that?!"
The dark haired girl nearly screamed, her cheeks pink.
"Oh... so he is...?"
Orihime mumbled as she looked to the ground, crestfallen. Rukia, sensing her feelings instantly patted the large chested girl on the shoulder, laughing;
"Of course not! Ichigo and I are just friends! There's nothing between us!"
"Then... why..."
Orihime mumbled softly to herself, yet it was loud enough for Rukia to hear.
"O-Orihime..."
Rukia began, but was cut off when Orihime looked up at her, eyes full of tears.
"Why doesn't he notice me?! Everybody else does... is there something I don't have?!"
Orihime spat out, Rukia was shocked into silence. The two sat in an awkward silence once more, it was only penetrated by a sniffle now and again from Orihime. Rukia... she sat in silence, arguing with herself; should she tell Orihime the truth of the matter?
"Orihime... I... there's something..."
Rukia began, then bit her tongue; she was in deep now, too deep to just dodge. Orihime looked at the dark haired girl again; her eyes were as focused as a laser. The answer she sought... it could come any moment!
"The fact is... Ichigo... he..."
Rukia looked at Orihime; their eyes met. Quickly the smaller girl looked away, hands grabbing hold of the hem of her skirt; the truth was something horrible. Atleast for Orihime.
"I... I knew it... Ichigo... he's not interested in me because..."
Orihime closed her eyes and tried to fight back her tears from flowing. Rukia looked at her and panicked;
"L-look, it's not like this is a choice! I mean, Ichigo... the things he likes... it's not his fault! If he had a choice, I'm sure he'd be interested in you like any other man!"
Rukia rambled so quickly, trying to comfort her friend. Orihime looked up at Rukia again, wiping a tear from her cheeks.
"There has to be a way... I... I could... "
Rukia shook her head vigorously, her rambling starting once more;
"N-no! You shouldn't do anything hasty! You should find somebody that loves you for you, not try to change yourself for him! Besides... it would be expensive..."
"But... I'd do anything... for him to want me..."
Orihime looked down again, this time her eyes focusing on her chest. Those breasts... they were getting in her way!
"Even if I have to get these things cut off!"
Orihime spat with anger; Rukia jumped to her feet.
"Orihime, don't think like that! That won't solve anything! You might change yourself, but at what cost? Do you really want to become a man?!"
Rukia finally said it, and Orihime looked up at her, face showing profound confusion.
"W-what...?"
Rukia blinked and sat down next to her once more.
"Well... I mean... Ichigo is attracted to men, so..."
Orihime was even more confused. Rukia swallowed hard; there had been some kind of profound misunderstanding between them.
"W-w-well, you see... Ichigo... he's gay. So... so... that's why I didn't want you going to any extremes."
Orihime turned pale, her eyes went wide... and then she fell to her side. Rukia panicked and leaned over, shaking her fallen friend before checking for a pulse; she was alive.
Orihime had just fainted from the shock.
