This will fast forward a few months, you will understand why. And it is short because I am just getting back into writing this story.


Chapter 12


Both Karin and Yuzu were four months pregnant now. Neither of them wanted to know what the sex of their child was going to be and the screen calls were getting harder on them. Since that night they came back, neither had been able to get away from the Society and also, neither was willing to take the chance on the girls or the unborn children getting hurt in any way. While the girls didn't like it, they accepted it.


This night the house was deathly silent. Rukia had fallen asleep on the couch with Icchy in his playpen. The baby heard a noise and looked up, seeing a shadow moving towards the hallway. He cocked his head and looked from the form which stopped to stare at him, back to his mother on the couch. Little Icchy raised his hand to wave hello and the form waved back, then moved on down the long hallway.

A few minutes later, Icchy had laid back down and sat back up as the form came walking back down the hall. The baby blinked his eyes and then laid down in his playpen, quickly falling asleep. No noise was made as the form walked out, vanishing into the dark shadows of the night.

The next day, the Captain Commander had called for both Shuhei and Toushirou to come to the First Division Office. The two arrived quickly and turned in shock as Isshin locked and bound the door, keeping them inside. His face was locked in anger, as well as Ichigo's.


Yamamoto took a breath and let it out slowly. He motioned for the two of them to sit and that was when they noticed, Captain Unohana as well as Kenpachi Zaraki and Byakuya Kuchiki in the room. Renji was leaned against the window frame but the shinigami refused to raise his face. Yamamoto sighed and looked up.


"Shuhei, Toushirou, what I am about to tell you will come as a shock. I need you to remain calm and stay put. You will not be allowed out of this room until the news wears off.


Last night, during the night, One of the female's in Ichigo's house was taken. By whom, we don't know. All we know is that we were made aware, first thing this morning. Preventative measures are being taken to protect those three left behind.


Though we tried to avoid it, they will be moved here to the Society and placed under close supervision."

Toushirou swallowed and lifted his head. "Was there forced entry?"

"No. Be aware that Rukia was on the couch, asleep. Whoever did this, they were able to get past her without making noise. We are not even sure they woke up Icchy. We will put out search teams."


Shuhei closed his eyes and then opened them again. "Captain Commander..Who was taken?"

Yamamoto looked up to the ceiling and then back to the two shinigami sitting there. He nodded to Isshin and Kenpachi who stepped up behind the chairs. "It was Karin."


Kenpachi barely had enough strength to hold Toushirou down. No sooner than Isshin had touched the young captain, Toushirou had punched him out cold. The room was starting to frost over as Toushirou's spirit pressure, battled against Kenpachi's. Ichigo finally reach up and jerked off Kenpachi's eye patch, giving him the small advantage to where Retsu could give Toushirou a sedative.

After what seemed like forever, Toushirou's green eyes finally drifted shut and the room warmed back up again. Isshin sat up and shook his head to clear it and then looked at the now asleep captain.

"Damn, he's strong."

Kenpachi lifted Toushirou into his arms. "If I ain't needed no more, I'll drop him off in the medical ward and then I needa get back to my squad."


Yamamoto smiled. "Thank you, Captain Zaraki. I appreciate it."


Kenpachi frowned. "Yeah well, it's been a while since the squirt released that much pressure. Dunno what your gonna do when he wakes up."

Soi Fon walked in and frowned. "Sir, there was nothing. No pressure or signature to read. No spells, no struggles. Whoever did this was smart enough to erase all traces. "

Isshin frowned. "Why take Karin? Why skip over everyone else and pick her? What makes her so special?"


Ichigo shrugged. "I don't know but I think they had her targeted all along. From what Rukia said, Icchy was in his playpen. Had they wanted to hurt us, they would have taken him or taken them both but they just took Karin. They overlooked Orihime, Rukia and Yuzu."


Soi Fon looked at Isshin. "We will find her, Sir."


Isshin smiled gently. "Don't say things like that. I know you will try your best. We thank you for your help."

Karin groaned as she turned over. Her head was pounding like she had a hangover but she hadn't drank anything the night before. As her eyes adjusted, she realized that she wasn't in her bed and this wasn't her room. Her clothes had been changed and only a single window showed the light from the outside. She jumped as the door opened to her room and a shadow stepped in.


"Hello, Karin. I am so glad you could join us."

"YOU!!!", she screamed.

"Yes, and there is nothing anyone can do to get to you. I haven't figured out what I am going to do with you yet but I am sure, I will have fun. You on the other hand.", he let that sentence drop. "However, I will make sure that you have your dinner delivered soon. We will talk after a few days so you can get used to being here.

Oh and don't try to escape. I would hate to have to kill you."

The door was shut again and the lock turned. Karin sunk down to the floor and wrapped her arms around her legs. "I am so sorry.", she whispered and then shivered while thinking about what kind of horrors her captor had in store for her.
