Chapter 13

Karin had been captured for three days now. Until a few hours ago, no one approached her other than her captor on that first day. Her meals were dropped off in her room but the deliver would ignore her. Now she stood in front of her captor, her gaze locked on him.

"Rest assured child ", he spat the word, "your unborn baby and yourself are safe for the time being. No one will touch you while you are here. It was very simple to take you. Had I taken Rukia or that Kurosaki brat, the attack would have been instant. I needed a bargaining chip and that is where you come in.

They won't attack for fear of hurting your child. Oh yes, you heard me right, your child is the bargaining chip I need and want. After it is born, I can't say what will happen to you but as of right now, we can rest assured that one, they have no idea where you are and two, even after the brat is born, they still won't attack. If you try to escape, I will kill you anyway so best not to try it. You wouldn't get past the guards and even then you couldn't open a portal to the real world. Do you understand?"


Karin snarled her nose up. "They will figure it out sooner or later. They are smarter than you think but to please your fragile ego, I will do as you say. I care for my child."

He walked down the stairs and bent down to her face. "You know the minute that child is born, you become un-needed. I haven't decided if I will kill you or not but you will never lay eyes on that brat. The minute it comes out, I am snatching it from you and there ain't shit you can do about it. Get her out of my sight."

"I'll kill you first.", she hissed.

"Go ahead and try. You won't win."

Karin was led back to her room, unknowing of the conversation that was going on still. " I want you to watch her twenty four seven. She is as reckless as her brother. It isn't long now, just six months. Surely you won't screw that up."

"But why me? Can't someone else watch her?"

"Your different. You don't allow petty feelings to stand in your way. You'll still be able to go out, just not as frequent. Do this for me and I will allow you to go alone."

The second man snorted. "Fine. I'll go watch her. Do I have to stay in her damn room?"

The first man nodded. "Yes. That way nothing will happen without our knowledge. I would hate to have planned all this and then her die on us. She and that baby must be kept alive. Take her outside a little while each day. Staying in that room won't be healthy for that baby."


The second man rolled his eyes and walked off, going towards Karin's room. From fighter to babysitter is now what he was but he had a plan of his own in his mind. This time, he would come out on top.

After her dinner was delivered the man looked at her. "Eat all your food and I will take you outside the walls for some fresh air. Just do me a favor and don't try to escape. I am stuck with you for the next six months. I say we make the best of it. I don't want to put cuffs on you but I will if I have to. You understand?"

Karin nodded and started to eat, before long, cleaning her plate for the first time.

"Come on. We're going walking."

When they were far enough away, he turned to her and whispered. "Throw yourself into my arms. Trust me."

Karin rolled her eyes and did as he said, shocked when he acted like he was fighting against her.

"Look, closely they can't hear what we say so listen up. My next trip into the real world, I'm going to send word of where you are at and what his plans are. Take my word when I say that even though you will leave here without your baby, I won't let anything happen to it. Who's the father?"

"Tenth Division, Captain.", she whispered.

"Good. Then I know who to tell your alright for now." He pushed her backwards.


"Damn pregnant hormones. Keep your paws to yourself or I will cut them off. Don't touch me again, bitch or I won't bring you outside."

He threw his head towards a camera in one of the dead trees and her eyes widened in acknowledgement.

"I want to go back in."

He nodded and grabbed her arm, jerking her with him. "Your lucky your pregnant, I would have killed you for touching me."

That night, Kisuke Urahara looked out the door to see someone standing in the shadows. He hummed and walked out, taking the letter. "You read then deliver the letter either in it's form or have someone say something. I've done my part, I am leaving."

They were gone before the shop keeper could say a word.
