Hide and Seek

Author note: Recap, matsumoto was capture and hurt badly internally and externally. She was saved by Toshiro and some others and was brought back to Soul Society when she was sentenced wrongly. Toshiro escaped along with Matsumoto to the human world. He isn't the only persons who has rebelled though, there are more in the human world whom are ready for anything. Toshiro is approached by Byakuya secretley and is told to come back quietly and so he does...will Toshiro's end be near?!

Toshiro walked quietly as Byakuya and Renji lead the way. Renji looked back to the captain and could see how the captain had given up on everything. Byakuya's eyes were closed of course, until he felt his lieutenant turn back. " What is the problem." He whispered in a low voice.


"Don't you think this is wrong?!" Renji asked whispering at first but getting louder.


"..." He closed his eyes.


Toshiro could hear the two but it was muffled his thoughts were elsewhere as they walked to his execution.Byakuya's eyes shifted to Renji " I cannot put my emotions-


"DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT!" Renji yelled at Byakuya.


"R-renji," he spoke in surprise looking over to his lieutenant " You ca...will not talk to me like-


"I already know. Its kind of obvious." Toshiro said looking away.


Byakuya stopped in his tracks and didn't speak nor move for a minute. Renji realized what he was talking about and gulped looking away heavy lidded. Renji began to speak " I hope that can stay between...uh..you know...


"What does it matter" Toshiro interrupted.


"Toshiro! It matters a lot!!" Renji yelled turning to the smaller captain.


Toshiro looked into his eyes with rage " Why Renji!? Because you know I am going to be alive for so long to care about you two sleeping together?! Because I am more worried that you are going to live happily while all I have worked for is destroyed?! My pride is on the line just as much as yours! Why would I tell them about you two!? Why would that even cross"His eyes filled with tears "...cross...my mind." He stuttered biting back his rage towards the end.


Renji closed his eyes and turned away, Byakuya spoke " Renji."


"Yes Captain?"Renji asked.


"Do not let it happen again." He said walking forward.


Renji was looking at his captain when the words fell from his lips. He held his image high and prideful, but Renji could see the hurt in his eyes as the words came to. Renji spoke "Yes sir."


The group headed into the bright light of the Soul Societies entrance. When they entered Soi Fon was there waiting. She was in her Bankai state already, she flash stepped to him and pointed her gold finger to him when Byakuya spoke in his demanding voice. " Soi Fon, that is not necessary."


She halted as if lightning had struck her. She turned to him " You are in no-


"Do not argue with me." Byakuya spoke sternly.


Soi Fon snapped her fingers and her men were around her instantly. She glared at the sixth captain " Captain, I am the same rank as you. Do not speak to me, as if I am your dog" She threw a glare at Renji.


Renji could feel his blood boiling when Toshiro spoke up " I am here and I am not going to fight." he spoke stepping towards her. He unlaced his sword from its holster and put his forehead against the sheath. " Please...forgive me...Hyourinmaru."

It was cold when she opened her eyes. Nothing was around her, it was pitch black. 'Where was she?!' She wondered looking around more. She rose to her feet groggily and began to move towards what she thought was a wall. It felt smooth and even colder then the air. Why was it like she was blind? The smell it smelled salty and dry. Suddenly realization hit her, it was as if a cover was taken off of her face. The curtain raised and she saw the white sand and the crescent moon reflecting off of it. Her eyes widened and she gulped hard. 'this isn't happening.'


She went to shriek when long fingers wrapped around her jaw. It held her mouth shut firmly not letting anything come from her, it was as if it took her voice. Then she heard the chuckle,the chuckle of the most evil fox in the world.


"Oh Rangiku~did you expect me to be someone else?" he purred.


She wanted to speak but nothing came out. She watched as the world around her morphed into a dining room in a busy restaurant. She blinked once in surprise to then feel the firmness disappear. She looked down to see a silky red dress draped over her body. She wanted to speak again but nothing came out. Her mouth didn't even move or open the slightest. Her body moved on its own, this was like a movie she was watching. She walked to a table where Gin was sitting and quickly rose to his feet and took her long gloved hand and kissed the back of her hand. She could feel her body blushing. Rangiku was then sat down and the dinner proceeded when Gin spoke loudly. " This could have been us? " He chimed.


Her voice was gone still. The scenario changed and dining room shattered into thousands of pieces of glass, she felt herself falling and falling when finally she was caught by Gin again. " Everything you know will perish and burn to the ground. Everything" He spoke with a growl, he opened his eyes and dropped her. She reached in the air to grab on to something when she hit ice and crashed through it. The pain was cold it burned, she sank farther and farther kicking for the surface but nothing she just sank further and further and her icy blue eyes watched as Gin looked through the ice down at her sinking self " This is what you have chosen, an Icy Death. Enjoy my Matsumoto."


As she fell farther and farther she couldn't hold her breath anymore, when finally she gave in and the water rushed into her, her eyes rolled back and she was about to lose consciousness. When a hand grabbed her, it wasn't much warmer then the water. It was as fast as she sunk that she was retrieved and she felt soft lips on hers and pressure on her chest. She suddenly began to cough hard and rolled to the side to cough up water. She rolled back and flopped to her back and was about to hit her head again when a hand caught her. She was so cold and the snow blew around the two screaming in anger.​ She looked up into her savior to see a man with long dark Emerald hair, he had a scar that was Xed over the bridge of his nose. He looked into her eyes, " My name is Hyourinmaru."

'Hyourinmaru!?' She thought in her head . She still couldn't speak. He smiled and brought an icy dragon finger up to her throat, a bright blue light shown like a diamond. She then looked at him and he nodded " Thank you..." She said quietly hoping she could speak. She smiled " Hyourinmaru? How can you be?"

"He is in danger and so am I, I have been separated and... knew how to reach you lets just say." He looked into her eyes and in a instant his eyes turned a deep blood red, they got rounded and his face began to morph into something else. A loud roar came piercing through the air.


Matsumoto breathed in sharply and rose up from her laying position which she though would be on the ice. But when she patted her body it was not cold nor freezing, the bright light was the sun and she was back in her bed...alone. " Toshiro..." She whispered looking at the note on her bed stand.
