Hinamori VersuS Hitsugaya

I didn't think I'd be able to update both stories this week. But here is lovely chapter two of Degeneration of a Soul.

Warning: Limey scene...O.o that's all small one.

Chapter Two

Hinamori VersuS Hitsugaya

Hitsugaya opened his eyes. His body reverberated constantly with a dull ache. Rolling onto his side not really focusing on anything in his room he sighed. What was going on? Well he knew what was going on, he just wanted it to stop. “You’re awake Hitsugaya-kun?” Asked the soft voice of Unohana.

“I wish I wasn’t.” He mumbled not finding the strength to do anything other than lie there.

Unohana looked over him baffled. The little girl’s condition was stable but Hitsugaya was in continuous amounts of pain. As she had watched over him in the night he fell into calm spells and then his body would convulse in pain. The case that had been recorded also had accounts of this but the victims body did degenerate at an alarming pace. Taking a seat by his bed she held her chin in thought.

“I’m sure there are other things you could be doing Unohana-taicho.” He said weakly pulling the blankets around him further.

“You’re my main concern Hitsugaya-kun.” She smiled and stood beside the bed. “I wish to find the cause of both yours and the little girl’s pain so that I may heal you. Do not give up Hitsugaya-kun, this will work itself out.”

He nodded. Unohana did one more check over on him then told him she would be around if he needed her. Hitsugaya made no comment on her departure and tried to ignore the pain in his slender limbs.

Yumichika tapped Ikkaku on the head resulting in his partner yelling up a storm. “But I wasn’t getting your attention any other way.” He whined with a pout. “Maybe if you weren’t so occupied I wouldn’t have had to of pat you on the head.” He folded his arms.

“I’m sorry Yumichika, just a lot on my mind.” Ikkaku apologized calming himself down. He retook his seat.

“That’s not like you. What’re you thinking about?” Yumichika wondered. “Usually you just go try and figure it out without thinking it through-.”

“Are you saying I’m brash!”

“Yes!” Yumichika said a bright smile on his face.

Ikkaku was about to retort but Yumichika slipped onto his lap. Without any other thought Ikkaku kissed him tenderly before delving hungrily into Yumichika’s mouth. Things had been so hectic that he hadn’t been able to touch his lover in any way. “Ken-chan! I found them!” Called their cute yet devilish lieutenant.

Kenpachi walked around the corner just as the two pulled apart. Yumichika stood before Ikkaku and glanced at him briefly before Kenpachi came to halt beside them. “Not busy are ya?” He asked and received no’s from both. “Good, the Hollow that attacked Hitsugaya actually did a bit of damage. We’re going to go lookin’ for it and find out what’s goin’ on.”

“How is Hitsugaya-taicho’s condition?” Yumichika asked glancing briefly at Ikkaku.

“He’s not feelin’ too good.” Kenpachi answered.

“Tou-chan got hurt really bad.” Yachiru cried landing on Kenpachi’s shoulder. “So we’ll hurt the bad Hollow too!” She cheered.

Ikkaku stood. “Yosh! We’ll have a good hunt this time!”

“YAY!” Yachiru shouted optimistically. “Do you think we’ll get him Ken-chan?”

“This should be exciting’.” Was all Kenpachi said and he made his way out. “We’ll be leavin’ in a few hours so rest up ‘til then.”

Yumichika let himself be pulled into Ikkaku’s arms as soon as the two were gone. His back met the floor of their dojo and Ikkaku ran his hands over his chest and lower abdomen. Moaning into the hot kiss Yumichika’s back arched as Ikkaku kissed his neck and fondled him through his hakama. “Ikkaku…” He moaned desperately.

“We don’t have a lot of time.” Yumichika nodded and let Ikkaku undress him. It wasn’t long until his lover was inside his body thrusting quickly. “God you feel good Yumichika.” Ikkaku gasped. Their passion was short-lived. It always was but it was worth it the moments they had together, Yumichika was happy for them.

“We’re actually going to have to take a few hours and really have some time for ourselves.” He said as he washed up.

Hitsugaya woke up again some time later in the day. The pain was bearable at that point and he sat up in bed. Looking out his window the sun was still high in the sky. It seemed to be one of the more quiet days, people were probably wondering about the Hollow however. He knew he was. He wanted to know how many victims it had claimed up until this point. He also wanted to know how long they lived. The little girl didn’t deserve to be used for energy for the Hollow.

A soft knock hit the door and he turned his head. “Come in,” he said and the door slid open omitting Hinamori into the room. Tensing a little Hitsugaya gripped his blankets tightly. “Hinamori…”

“Hello Shiro-chan-.”

“Hitsugaya-taicho,” he reprimanded and she covered her mouth.

“Sorry,” she laughed. “How are you feeling Shiro-chan?”

Hitsugaya sighed and gave up. “Like I’ve been thrown around,” he mumbled.

“I’m really worried about you. You don’t look healthy at all.” She worried placing her hand against his forehead and found him bitterly cold. “Oh Shiro-chan, do you want another blanket?”

“I would, thank you.” He said gratefully. She retrieved one from the storage closet and lay it over him. He did feel slightly chilled but it didn’t seem extreme. He probably wouldn’t know. “How are you Hinamori?”

“I’ve been doing okay. Matsumoto and Kira have been helpful and comforting. I get to talk to Abarai-san ever now and again so it makes me feel better.” She said a smile gracing her lips, but it didn’t reach her eyes. Hitsugaya noticed that she still had dark circles around her eyes. She was still recovering from the incident with Aizen. “Don’t worry about me Shiro-chan. I’m more worried about you.”

“There’s not much anyone can really do right now. Unohana-taicho is researching and doing all she can, don’t worry Hinamori.”

“But I’m always worrying…Shiro-chan.” She choked. “I worry about you a lot, and I miss him all the time.” Hitsugaya suddenly felt how chilled his body was. He was freezing.

“Hinamori there was nothing anyone could have done-”

“I know, he chose to do what he did-but I believe Aizen-sama is still good and that he will come back.”

Hitsugaya frowned. “Hinamori, you can’t keep fooling yourself like this.”

“I’m not. Aizen-sama was always a good person. He is still.” She defended and rose from her seat.

“Hinamori I didn’t mean to upset you but you have to realize that he chose to leave.” She shook her head in denial. Hitsugaya furrowed his brow and sighed. “Please leave, I don’t want to talk about this.”

“It’s because you helped him leave!” She accused resting her hand on her zanpakuto.

“Hinamori, don’t do it.” He warned. She shook her head and pulled out her blade. “Hinamori-”

“Shut up! I know you did it!” Slashing her sword forward she only cut through blankets. Hitsugaya pressed himself back into the wall and looked for an escape route. Quickly moving out of the way her sword cut through the wall. Hitsugaya started for the door but was pushed into it roughly. “I’m going to kill you.” Hitsugaya caught her blade between his hands and stared her in the eye. Hinamori, was never going to be the same, he didn’t want to believe it. Feeling the sharp sting as her blade sliced through his hands slightly Hitsugaya moved and let it stab through the door. Sliding open the other side he dashed down the hall.

Ignoring the tears and sadness inside Hitsugaya spotted Matsumoto. Heading towards her she noticed his distress. “What happened Taicho?” She asked upon seeing the blood dripping from his fingers. “Are you alright?”

“It’s Hinamori.” He gasped trying to catch his breath.

“What? She’s not supposed to be here.” She said looking up the hall Hinamori was walking towards them. “Hinamori what are you doing here?”

“I’m going to kill the real traitor.” She answered and charged at them.

Matsumoto pushed Hitsugaya out of the way and met blades with Hinamori. “You’re scaring the patients here Hinamori! You need to stop right now!” Hinamori ignored Matsumoto and once again tried to attack Hitsugaya but another person stepped in her way. Crying out in frustration she looked up at Renji.

“Get out of my way Abarai-san!”

Renji hit the side of her neck and she collapsed to the floor. “Sorry Hinamori.”

Matsumoto wiped the sweat from her brow and looked over at Hitsugaya. “Are you…”

Hitsugaya held up his hand. Tiny specks began flowing away from it escaping into the air. Looking up Hitsugaya felt something claw inside his body and he fell to the floor. His degeneration had begun.

BAHAHA cliff hanger...I'm evil like that. Or so I've been told hoho. Love it or hate it...? R&R and tell me about it. Sorry about typos! I know I can't spot them all.
