Jigoku

Chapter 2
Jigoku

It was hot, that was the first thing Ukitake noticed as he slowly woke up. That and his arms were still tightly wrapped behind his back in a very painful manner. He snapped his eyes open to see a strip of white, his eyes apparently blindfolded.

He seemed to be laying on a stone surface that was very warm. He could hear what sounded like a river roaring nearby, but it was so hot he wondered how a river could even be here.

“‘taki-ji.” A voice choked with emotion came from near by.

“Rina-chan.” He tried to say, but it came out garbled.

Add being gagged to his list of handicaps. His feet also seemed to be tied up together all the way from ankle to knee. He was trussed up pretty good, but he was still alive and Rina was clearly near by.

He tried to sense her reiatsu, but no such luck. Either she was sealed or she was behind a shield of some sort. He tried to access his own, found he could, and figured it had to be the second option.

He tried to call for Sougyo no Kotowari, but his Zanpakuto was either too far away or the shielding prevented him from talking to it.

“Where?” He tried to ask, hoping Rina would understand his garbled word.

“Ah, awake I see.” Came that soft voice. “Forgive the blindfold, but I desire to keep my identity a secret for now.”
He tried to shift to face the voice, but trussed up as he was it wasn’t easy to move.

“Please forgive the gag as well, but I desire to have a conversation with Rina-chan without your untimely interruptions.”

“What do you want from me?” Rina asked, her voice betraying her apprehension.

“I desire your co-operation in an endeavour of mine. Once you help me with my little problem I will be happy to let you and Ukitake-taichou go.”

He sensed a trap, even as the mans voice washed gently over their ears in a way that almost made you want to inexplicitly trust him.

“You will?” She asked, hope in her voice.

“Of course. You have my promise. As long as you do what I request you and he will come to no harm during your stay here.”

“And what do you want me to do?” She asked in a hope laden voice.

“Why I merely wish you to use that incredible reiatsu pool of yours to charge a simple device of mine. It would leave you rather drained, but from what I know of your powers that might actually be a good thing.”

“And what will this device do?” She asked apprehensively.

“Oh nothing much. It will just open the Jigoku no Monko so that those on this side can leave and I will be able to return to the one I love most.” The unknown man answered.

Ukitake felt his body freeze. The man wanted to blast open the Jigoku no Monko! That would let every evil soul banished to Jigoku escape to the living world. It would be chaos.

But of course Rina had no real concept of what was being asked of her. To her it sounded like he simply needed her pool of Reiatsu to charge a device to open a quick door. She had no idea the real implications of the side effects of such a thing.

He tried to warn her, but a foot landed heavily on his chest the moment he made a noise and it was all he could do to breath, let alone speak.

“Of course if you refuse I wont have any use for Ukitake-taichou here and I will have to go through all the effort of convincing you to do me this one, small favour.”

A polite way of saying he would torture her until she broke and just out right kill him. Neither scenario was a pleasant one, and both ended in the gate being opened. Rescue would not come that he could think of unless if Stark had seen what they had been dragged through, and even then there was the whole getting here and back problem.

Things were not looking good no matter what way he sliced the apple. Either she agreed, the Jigoku no Monko was opened and every denizen from Jigoku escaped, no doubt with her dying as she charged this device, or she refused, was tortured until she broke, opened the Jigoku no Monko and he was killed.

The foot on his chest pressed down harder and he began to struggle, coughing for breath and trying to breath past the gag as he couldn’t get enough air in through his nose. His lungs burned painfully.

“Stop.” Rina cried.

The pressure did not alleviate in the least.

“Please stop, you are hurting him.” She begged.

He started to see stars.

“I’ll do it. Just stop hurting him, please.” She begged.

The pressure lifted from his chest and the gag was pulled out of his mouth to rest around his neck as he gulped in painful amounts of scorched, dried air. He could feel sweat rolling down his body and his hair was damp with it.

His lungs were killing him and he went into a coughing fit, blood trickling down his throat. The dry, hot air was making it worse and he rolled onto his side, coughing up more blood.

“ ‘taki-ji.” Rina cried.

Something was placed nearby and someone grabbed his head by the hair and forced his face into what he presumed was a saucer of warm water. He took a greedy gulp, the water easing his throat. He breathed in deeply, trying to get some of the moisture sure to be in the air just above the water into his lungs.

Eventually the fit passed and he was left shaking weakly on the ground, the far too familiar taste of his own blood on the back of his throat. The hot air was already starting to burn his lungs again.

“Please, let me help him.” Rina was begging.

“I will permit you to be with him on a few minor conditions.” Soft voice was saying.

“Name them.”

“You will not tamper with his restraints in any way, nor will you remove the blindfold.”

“Done.” She quickly agreed to the terms.

“Nor shall he attempt to tamper with yours.”

“Done.” He coughed out weakly.

There was the sound of chains moving and what sounded like a cage door being opened twice, no doubt hers and his. And then she was beside him, cradling his head in her lap and using something fabric like and wet to wipe the blood off of his face.

He could tell her wrists were chained together by the way the chain was dragging across his body, and he had no doubt her ankles were similarly treated.

There was the sound of footsteps leading away.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

He nodded, sparing his throat and lungs anymore torment.

“Where?” He asked.

“I don’t know. After he hit you over the head they did the same to me. I woke up shortly before you did here. I think we are in a volcano. The walls are rather smooth like they have been melted and I can see a river of magma quite a distance away.

“We are in a cage. Its large enough to fit us both comfortably, I would say 10ft by maybe 12ft. There is nothing in here with us at the moment but this bowl of water. There is a small hole over by the back wall, but it is far too small to even think about going down and for all we know it could be a one way trip into a magma lake.”

He nodded in agreement with her assessment.

“Zanpakuto?”

“I can’t see it from here. There is nothing else in sight but the path leading to what looks like the crater of the volcano and the other cage I was originally in. All the light is coming from the magma, there are no torches or anything on the walls.”

Already his lungs were drying out again. Rina wet the cloth and held it to his face, letting him breath the damp air in again to try and ease his parched lungs. God at this rate the atmosphere would kill him before whoever it was who was speaking did.

“What did he look like?” He asked once his lungs felt slightly better.

“I can’t say. He was wearing a cloak pulled tightly shut. All I could see was his eyes, which were a very rich, warm, soft brown that screamed trust.” She answered.

He felt another cough coming on as the hot air scorched his lungs. He heard her dip the cloth in the water dish again and held it up for him to breath through, easing the burning slightly.

His first thought when he put evil plus illusions plus a soft ’trust me’ voice was Aizen, but he would have recognized Aizen’s voice and whoever had been speaking was not Aizen. Aizen also tended to talk slightly differently. Whoever was holding them had Ukitake clueless. He did not like that one bit.

When they came out of the gate it was into a world of red rock and a sun blazing in a red sky. It was the exact opposite of Hueco Mundo and Kinomi wondered briefly about it as the gate behind them slammed shut and the hollow she had used to open the gate landed behind them.

The man screamed in anger and lunged at them. Yachiru didn’t even turn around as she slashed blindly behind her, decapitating the nameless soul and sending him once again into the circle of life.

No one paid any attention to it as they spread out to look for any sign of Rina or Ukitake. Taka took to the air for a better view. Zan was the first to spot something, calling them over to the small amount of blood on the ground.

Kinomi pulled out the old device they had used to track the Aku’s, managed to get a sample of blood from the ground, and get the device to read it. Almost at once a picture of Ukitake popped up, but no dots showed up on the radar.

“It worked.” She declared. “No reading though so he isn’t near by.”

There was a sound of creaking behind them and they turned to stare in surprise at the large gate behind them. Off in the distance they could hear the screams of what was most likely the local inhabitants as they rushed in.

“I think it would be wise to move.” Hisagi pointed out.

“Yeah.” Kinomi agreed.

They ducked behind a large outcropping of rock as Jigoku no Monko opened and another soul was spat out. The man got up and looked around himself in horror shortly before a swarm of what could only be some sort of Jaki wielding small pitchforks attacked the man.

He screamed as blood started to flow from where the pitchforks were stabbing him. The Jaki screamed in hellish delight, the sound grating on their ears as they stabbed the man slowly to death before settling down to consume him, still alive.

Kinomi was sure she was going to be sick. They turned away from the scene and with a shared nod to the others they started to move as quietly away as they could, praying that the Jaki had not gotten Ukitake or Rina. Seeing how they were more or less kidnapped it seemed highly unlikely that was the case.

The sound of a whip cracking called their attention to the sky and they stared up in awe as a golden chariot pulled by four flaming horses and bearing a red Oni rushed passed them towards the gates. After a moment it passed by again, the soul of the man the Jaki had been eating screaming as he was carried away, the swarm following the chariot with angry cries at their stolen meal.

Stunned silence before they managed to break out of their shock. They shared a look and moved further away from Jigoku no Monko. Once they were a safe distance away Zan kneeled down and placed his hand on the ground, concentrating.

“What’s he doing?” Yachiru asked curiously.

“Pesquisa. It’s a hollow ability that lets them sense reiatsu.” Kinomi explained.

“Anything?” Taka asked worriedly as Zan stood up.

“There is a large collection of beings not too far from here. Could be a village or something. We might get some data at least.” Zan answered.

“How far away is it?” Kinomi asked.

“Not far. Maybe ten kilometres.”

“Let’s get closer, we can make a decision once there.”

The others nodded as Kinomi indicated for Zan to lead the way.

Despite everything that had happened, what with the Kidnapping of Rina and Ukitake-taichou and jumping through the Jigoku no Monko, one thing remained at the fore front of Hisagi’s mind. Kazeshini, Kyattsuai and kyoumei.

“And the fact there are to many k‘s involved there.” He couldn’t help but to think in amusement despite the situation.

He had heard about kyoumei before, but as far as most people knew it was a myth loved by silly day dreaming girls about how they would be fighting some handsome guy and as they crossed blades they would sing to each other and then they would fall in love, he would revoke his misguided ways, and they would marry to live happily ever after. Wasn’t it Hinamori or Kanisawa who had told him that?

He felt a twinge of pain at the thought of his old friend from the academy that had died that fateful day the hollows had attacked their training group before Aizen and Gin had ‘rescued’ them.

He quickly got off that train of thought before it led him into depression again.

“You think too much.” Kazeshini snorted in his mind.

He ignored his Zanpakuto, or tried to.

“Stop thinking about it so much. Why can’t you ever just accept things are as things are?” Kazeshini hissed to him. “You are over thinking.”

“What does it really mean?” He asked.

“What does what mean?” Kazeshini asked, and Hisagi got the impression Kazeshini was grinning mischievously at him.

“You know what I mean.” Hisagi countered, not wanting to be drawn into this game of million questions with his Zanpakuto.

“Don’t you know?” Kazeshini asked with fake surprise. “It means you are secretly to fall even more deeply in love with Pantera-chan and…”

Hisagi shut him out as quickly as he could. He wasn’t sure what was more wrong, the claim of falling in love or the sickeningly, mockingly, cute voice Kazeshini had tried to pull off in an imitation of the girls who were obsessed with the myth of kyoumei.

He could still hear Kazeshini laughing in the background of his mind. It was torture. Finally he opened his mind up to his Zanpakuto and ordered him to pipe down. They were in enemy territory and he couldn’t afford to be distracted by Kazeshini’s mocking laughter.

His Zanpakuto quieted down, but was still chuckling softly. Suddenly Kazeshini was gone, leaving his mind in peace.

Hisagi sighed in relief and concentrated on the terrain, eyes pealed for any sign of danger and one hand always on Kazeshini’s hilt so he could draw his Zanpakuto quickly if need be.

He wasn’t bothered that Kinomi had placed herself in charge of this mission. Technically both himself and Yachiru out ranked her in the Gotei 13, but in the rules of Hueco Mundo she far surpassed them both in rank, technically out ranking even the Sotaichou.

This was Jigoku, the Gotei 13 had no jurisdiction here what so ever. Besides when it came to infiltration missions and commanding the other two troops Kinomi was the expert. Truthfully he was the third wheel.

Taka, Kinomi and Yachiru were old friends and Zan was Kinomi’s half brother. He had never done anything with any of them other than regularly train with Kinomi at Yumichika’s command.

He remembered that day so long ago when she had accused him of mistreating his Zanpakuto. Well, maybe not accused him of mistreating so much as being mean. Even to this day almost one hundred years later he recalled her exact words;

“Hisagi-fukutaichou, why are you so reluctant to use Kazeshini? I mean, it just seems kind of cruel. I know if I never let Kyattsuai out she would probably rip my mind to shreds with her claws.” She had chuckled.

“How would you feel locked in a small moving cage? Able to see everything around you but unable to interact with it? The owner of the key only letting you out once or twice a year to stretch your legs?”

“I don’t fight to kill, even if I have a hollow record higher then anyone else my age. I feel better knowing they are tormented souls I have set free to rejoin the cycle of life.”

“Anyhow, it just seems Kazeshini is sad to me. Like you don’t trust your own partner. You don’t have to fight to kill you know. Otousan rescued Okaasan and defeated all of his opponents in the process without killing anyone.” She had pointed out.

Her words had tormented him, Kazeshini screaming in his mind and crowing how much he liked her and that Hisagi should listen to her. It got to the point that Kazeshini wouldn’t leave him alone until they had spared with Kinomi, the zanpakuto shouting for joy in his mind through out each sparing session.

Kinomi was a quick study and before long they were sparing at full strength. At first it was only to teach her how to duel wield, but shortly after she had learned that he had tried to declare the lessons at an end. Kazeshini protested and would give him pounding headaches until he would seek her out to spar just to get his Zanpakuto to stop.

He had never heard of a Zanpakuto deliberately tormenting or interfering with their Shinigami like that and had approached Ukitake-taichou about it, figuring one of the older, more experienced Shinigami might know something about why Kazeshini was being such a jerk.

Ukitake had seemed a bit surprised, but otherwise told him that each Zanpakuto was as unique as the soul it was tied to and he really couldn’t try to claim why Kazeshini did something anymore then he could claim why Katen Kyoukotsu would do something, and Shunsui was his best friend for many, many years.

Kazeshini had moped for months after Kinomi had been unofficially exiled and when the Sotaichou had asked for volunteers to act as a representative of the Gotei 13 to retrieve reports from Hueco Mundo and deliver messages, Kazeshini had pounded into his head to agree and threatened to never let him get a nights rest ever again if he didn’t.

So agree he had, reluctantly he had admitted it wasn't only Kazeshini who wanted to see her, and to his surprise Kazeshini was suddenly well behaved and didn’t even complain as long as he got to spar with Kyattsuai when they arrived.

Kinomi had not been against the idea and had seemed pleased he had asked, commenting on how his style made him a great, challenging work out and she loved how Kazeshini’s Shikai looked and would ask him each visit if he was ready to show her his Bankai form because she would dearly love to see it.

Kazeshini of course preened under her praise, but manifestation was something Hisagi still had yet to achieve. He didn’t want to admit it, but he wasn’t sure he could beat Kazeshini into submission and had been holding off forever now.
His thoughts were broken as they crested a small rise to see a clearing below them. At once they dropped to their stomachs and studied the camp before them.

Most predominate was some sort of strange device that was in the process of being built. Around the clearing humans in chains worked under the watchful eyes of green Oni armed with whips crafted from fire with large clubs on their hips.
“What the hell is that thing?” Taka gasped quietly.

“It’s pointed at Jigoku no Monko.” Hisagi noted in alarm.

Sure enough the device, whatever it was, was pointed at Jigoku no Monko.

“I don’t know, but I got a feeling it is somehow related to Rina-chans kidnapping.” Kinomi answered, looking down at the radar as she spoke. “Still no sign of Ukitake-taichou, at least not in the areas the radar can reach. Zan, you are up. Don’t be seen.” Kinomi handed the device over to her brother.

“No problem.” Zan took the device and then disappeared in a flash bang of Sonpo.

They didn’t have long to wait until he was back again, shaking his head in the negative. There was no sign of Ukitake nor had he sensed either one of the two reiatsu’s.

“There is a road heading away from the gate though. I bet it leads to a town or something. We might be able to fit in there and get some information.” Zan reported.

“Why not try here?” Yachiru asked.

“Because the ‘human’s here are 1) all male 2)wearing next to nothing 3) heavily scared from clear signs of being whipped into submission and 4) would probably recognize a strange face a mile away.

“Unless if Zan-kun or Hisagi-fukutaichou want to strip down next to nothing, leave their Zanpakuto’s behind, and then stand still while we whip them until their backs are bloody, they will stick out rather badly amongst that group, and I personally have to care to do any of that to them.” Kinomi answered.

“I will pass.” Zan grunted.

For some strange reason Hisagi did not want to think about, Kazeshini had perked up at the mentions of whips from Kinomi. Apparently his Zanpakuto was back from wherever he had run off to sulk, assuming he was sulking which seemed highly unlikely. A pity. It had been quiet for a change.

Zan led they way around the camp until they found the road which appeared to be ‘paved’ with brimstone and reeked of sulphur because of it. They didn’t travel on the road but followed it from a distance, ducking and weaving between the rocky outcroppings Jigoku seemed to be built out of.

The sun didn’t move from the sky and the heat of the realm had them all soaked in sweat in no time. Even in the shade there was little relief and they saw no signs of a river or stream, which made the water Hinamori had packed for them all the more precious.

Kinomi was frowning deeply as they moved forward, avoiding the sharp pointed rocks that could no doubt impale a person if they ran into them too fast. Judging by the red stains on a few of them such events were not unheard of.

“Something is bothering you.” He commented when they paused to rest a moment and get some water in their bodies.

“A few things.” She admitted hesitantly.

“What is it?” He asked, leaning on the rock beside her.

“That device. It was pointed at the doors and even though only the frame had been built, it looked an awful lot like some sort of gun.” She commented.

“You think it’s a weapon?” he asked startled.

“Sort of.” She admitted. “Powering something like that would take a large amount of energy.”

“You think they are going to use Rina to power that thing?” He asked in disbelief.

“I don’t think you realize just how powerful Rina is. If she ever let lose with both of her pools of reitasu she could destroy Seireitei, the surrounding districts, and a good chuck of the forest and surrounding lands leaving them nothing more then a smoking hole in the ground.

“When I said she was Aizen level powered, I meant she was beyond him, which I think was the only reason he kept her despite her disabilities. She is a walking bomb. That is why we never introduced her to the Gotei 13 and why she had been kept so quiet.

“Truthfully that power of hers is usually too busy eating itself and leaving her in tremors that she more or less spends all of her time in her room at the 4th with no one but her Otousan and Ukitake-taichou as company. Something Taka-chan greatly regrets.

“Hisgi-fukutaichou, what do you think would happen if the Jigoku no Monko was destroyed?” She asked.

He felt fear run up his spine at the thought and even Kazeshini paused for a moment. Dear lord if the Jigoku no Monko was ever destroyed there would be nothing to keep the damned souls and the youkai that called Jigoku home in. They would spill out into the living world and reek havoc.

“Why would Emma-sama want to destroy the gates?” He asked. “Maybe there is some villain he is trying to eliminate and needs Rina’s power to assist him with.”

“I don’t know.” Kinomi admitted. “For all we know Emma-sama might not even be the one building the device. If we knew where his palace was we could go ask, but for now traveling down this road to wherever it may lead and looking for Ukitake-taichou’s signature is the best we can do.”

He nodded in agreement.

“What’s the other thing bothering you?” He asked after a moments silence.

“The air in this realm is awfully dry and hot.” She answered.

Well that one confused him and even Kazeshini seemed stumped as to why that would be a problem other then they needed a bit more water then they had anticipated, but they were not looking bad for water yet and even if they hadn‘t thought about how hot it would be here, Hinamori seemed to have and it would be weeks before they ran out

Kinomi must have caught his confusion because she answered his unasked question.

“While warmer air is better, this dry heat must be torture for Ukitake-taichou’s lungs. My report says he was recovering from another attack when they were taken, which is why they were in the same room. I fear that even if they don’t intend to kill him, this hot, dry air combined with his tuberculoses might if we don’t hurry and they don’t tend to him.”

“If Rina was the target, why did they take Ukitake-taichou as well?” Yachiru asked.

Only then did he realize the others had been listening to the conversation.

“He probably followed them through the Jigoku no Monko trying to get Rina back.” Taka guessed.

“Okay, but if they didn’t need him, why keep him alive? Presuming they captured him when they came through the gate and he’s not out there like we are trying to track Rina down of course.” Yachiru asked again.

“Leverage.” Taka answered softly. “Rina does call him ‘take-ji after all. She would do anything to keep him safe, even if it meant charging that thing.”

“Assuming that whoever took her wants her to charge it in the first place.” Kinomi interjected. “For all we know they want to use her as the bomb on the other side of the gate.”

The sound of screeching broke the conversation and they all quickly ducked for cover as another swarm of Jaki flew past. Once the threat was gone they continued following the road at a discreet distance.

Kazeshini remained at the forefront of his mind, but was surprisingly silent. He did pick up a large sense of excitement from his Zanpakuto though.

It was impossible to tell how long they had been walking for the sun did not move in the sky at all. If Hueco Mundo was the realm of eternal night than Jigoku was the realm of eternal light, which was rather ironic.

Every once in a while without a word being said Zan would disappear using his Sonpo. It was the eighth time that he noticed Zan would look at Kinomi with his head cocked to the left and she would give a very slight nod.

It generally didn’t take a lot of stealth to kill a hollow. They tended to be dimwitted creatures so silent communication and hand signals was not something taught at Shinoreijutsuin.

Briefly he wondered where Kinomi and Zan had learned such a thing. He had heard rumours Zan had been fostered by the Shihoin family and that would make sense as to where he had picked up such skills, sharing them with his sister. But the fact still remains as to why?

Kinomi was 11th division. Stealth missions were not on their list of skills, although watching her now it was hard to say that for she moved with the skill of someone from the 2nd. Taka was not so quiet but then it must have been difficult running around on the ground with those massive wings. Yachiru was not noisy per say, but she didn’t move like Zan and Kinomi.

“You think too much.” Kazeshini’s voice took him by surprise.

He jerked in shock and knocked a few rocks lose from where his hand had been resting against a wall. The others looked back at the noise and he felt embarrassment race through him.

“Sigh. You are going to think about it until you get an answer, aren’t you?” Kazeshini huffed in his mind.

“I am curious.” He admitted reluctantly.

“The answer is obvious. Kinomi didn’t train her wing to just fight hollows, but to be ready to flee the moment we turned on them. They have been training against us, or have you forgotten the Nobles that had been working against them?”

How could he forget. Kinomi and Karin had been attacked shortly after one of their first sparing sessions, the very night she had accused him of being mean to Kazeshini. He had beaten himself up for ages afterwards with if only.

If only he had escorted her and Azucena home that night. If only he had noticed the flare of her reiatsu. If only he had been paying attention instead of arguing with Kazeshini.

“‘If only’ doesn’t fix things. Worry about the here and now.” Kazeshini snapped in his mind.

He couldn’t argue with that statement. As much as he hated conceding points to Kazeshini, the lord knew the Zanpakuto did not need anymore boost to his ego, the feathered terror was right.

After the mission he could ask Kinomi all the questions he wanted. He was slightly embarrassed to admit he knew so little about her giving the large number of times they had spared together.

Even after becoming the 4th seat of the 11th she had actively sought him out to duel. Some days the ferocity of her attacks left him gapping and it was only much later that they had learned about Grimmjow and Nel’s disappearance and her own reactions to it. As much as he was embarrassed to admit it, it was Kinomi who had forced him into rethinking how he used and treated Kazeshini.

“I like her. She is strong.” Kazeshini had told him on numerous occasions. “Pantera’s not bad either.” He would always add after a pause.

“If you do not stop thinking so damn much I will personally drag your sorry ass in here and toss you off the nearest cliff while slicing your entire body to shreds so by the time you hit bottom there will be no cushioning left to shelter your bones from shattering to a million fragments on the rocks below.” Kazeshini snapped in his mind.

Hisagi actually jumped at that, causing his traveling companions to look at him in silent question. Kinomi’s eye flashed for a second like they always did when talking to Kyattsuai and she just shook her head at him and kept walking, leaving him wondering what her Zanpakuto had said.

The moment he thought that a flash of golden eyes went across his vision and he stopped thinking, concentrating on his surroundings instead and glaring up at the burning sun that refused to move across the sky, let alone set.

Stay Tuned for chapter 3: Capture

Unfortunately poor Uktiake will be tortured in this fic, but no where near the levels of what happened to Grimmjow, just some good old fashion whipping and a bit of electrocution.

My fav. part this chapter:
“Don’t you know?” Kazeshini asked with fake surprise. “It means you are secretly to fall even more deeply in love with Pantera-chan and…”

Hisagi shut him out as quickly as he could. He wasn’t sure what was more wrong, the claim of falling in love or the sickeningly, mockingly, cute voice Kazeshini had tried to pull off in an imitation of the girls who were obsessed with the myth of kyoumei.

I love that part, lol.

Jaki: Japenesse for imp.
Oni: Japenesse ogres. There are two types in hell, red(aka) and green(midori). It is said that the souls that go to hell are taken to Enma to be judged via chariot.
Hiuma: The flaming horses.

Welcome back everyone and as usual I am pleased to see my friend still following along. I ain't saying nothing about who the bad guy is until he's revealed, regardless if anyone has guessed right or wrong. See you all next chapter :)
