Getting there
Disclaimer: No own Bleach.
Note: Hope my fic's going ok with all y'all. Here's the next chapter. I realized that I did not cover how Renji understands and is understood by Dani and Jade, seeing as they speak different languages. That'll be explained in this chapter.

Last time:
"I'm guessing clothes aren't gonna be a problem, right?"
Renji nodded stupidly.
"Okay. You need to bring anything, Dani?"
Dani just shook her head.
"Didn't think so. So, how do we get there?"

Renji glanced sidelong at the diminuitive girl sitting next to him. The girl really was quite clever, almost to the point of reminding him of Urahara. He shuddered inwardly. When the two of them met...He let the disturbing thought trail off and glanced over at the taller girl on his other side. Danica. Dani. She really was beautiful, in an almost ethereal way, with her hair the colour of pale sunlight and skin like rosy porcelain. By contrast, her eyes where a startlingly vibrant blue-green. And her mouth...He stifled a groan thinking about the kiss they had shared in Jade's apartment. Yes, he definitely could have done a lot worse in finding a wife. It had all happened so fast, and now, here he was, stuck in a gigai, sitting in an airplane between two girls as different as night and day.

Jade splashed water on her face and looked up at her reflection. Pulling a face, she grabbed some paper towel and dried her face and hands. She took her time walking back to her seat, thinking about all the changes that had happened recently. Last week, she had been writing exams and making plans to go to the beach. Then, Dani had met Renji and now the three of them were heading to Japan, where Renji would take them to Soul Society, and he and Dani would marry and have kids. Not to mention, that she would have to find someone to marry and have kids with when she got there, in order to stay with her friend. They had spent the week learning about Soul Society from Renji. Speaking of which...
"Oi. How are we--"
A stewardess walked by and Jade lowered her voice.
"How are we supposed to understand anybody?"
Renji looked up as she took her seat.
"Eh? Ya understand me dontcha?"
Dani shut the book she was reading, leaned over and joined the whispered conversation.
"How is that, exactly? I mean, you speak Japanese, right?"
Renji shrugged.
"Ya. What about it?"
Dani looked at him in disbelief and Jade snorted.
"We don't."
Renji blinked and then scratched his head. A frown pulled at his mouth and eyebrows momentarily before his eyes light up.
"This. Urahara gave it ta me before I left. It's kinda like a translator spell, I guess."
Renji dug out a rolled up slip of paper from his belt. Both girls stared at it when he unrolled it.
"A spell...? And that's it? Wow...know any others?"
A stewardess walked by and Dani opened her book, pretending to show Jade something in it. Renji grinned.
"Ya, I know kidou spells, for fightin' Hollows and Arrancar. But mostly, I jus' use Zabimaru."
Jade glanced at the retreating form of the stewardess' back and then around the plane.
"And that's your sword's name...so, do all the swords have names? Do you pick them? And what are Arra--"
DING!
"We will be departing momentarily. Please place your seats and trays in the upright position and fasten your seatbelts. Thank you for flying with AirCanada."
Dani and Jade both fastened their seatbelts as the engines began rumbling and the plane started rolling down the runway. They both leaned back as the plane took flight and Renji sucked in a startled breath to see the ground outside the window fall away. He gripped the armrests and gritted his teeth to keep from crying out; he didn't want Dani to see how afraid he was. He jumped when he felt a hand grip his own and looked down. Jade let go of his hand and gave him a knowing look and lopsided grin before glancing at Dani.
"You all right, Dani?"
Dani's eyes flew open and she blushed slightly.
"Wha--? Oh. Yeah. I'm alright. Just tired."
Jade grinned wider and winked at Renji. He blushed.
"Ya, me too. Why don't we all try to sleep? It's a long flight. Unless you wanna watch the in-flight movie? I can buy a headset."
Dani smiled and shook her head.
"No thanks. Sleep sounds good."
DING! "You may now unfasten your seatbelts and recline your seats. Enjoy your flight."
Jade yawned and then chuckled.
"Definitely."
She stopped the stewardess making her rounds with a cart.
"Um, 'scuse me. Can I get a few blankets, please? Thank you."
The stewardess smiled and handed her three blankets off the cart and continued down the aisle.
Jade handed one each to Dani and Renji, and spread the other one over herself before reclining her seat slightly. Dani did the same, then reached over to recline Renjis' seat as well.
"Try to get comfy. It really is gonna be a long flight."
Jade closed her eyes, half-turned in her seat towards the aisle and sighed.
Dani yawned, leaned against the window and mumbled softly.
"G'night. Jade. Renji."
Jade cracked one eye open.
"G'night."
"Er, g'night..."
Renji leaned back with his hands behind his head and listened to their breathing even out before falling asleep himself.
...
The rest of the flight had been uneventful and the trio soon found themselves outside of the Tokyo airport, hailing a cab. The two girls slid into the back seat and Renji took the front.
"The Urahara Shoten in Karakura Town."

Note: Dun Dun Dun....iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttt'sssssss Go-Tenks! lol. No seriously, that's where I'm ending 'cause it's 1:52 in the morning and I have to get up for work in 8 hours. What's gonna happen when Jade and Dani meet Urahara and everybody else? I don't know! Who will I pair Jade with? I'm not telling! Yet...muhahaha! *cough* ahem. Hope you didn't mind my stupid filler chapter! Thanks for reading so far!
