Hardly a Coincidence...

A/n: Well… I temporarily have loads of time in the world…. Sooo…. I’ll be updating everything a lot more… so Watch out!

“I don’t know why you put up with that behavior!” Kaya rolled her eyes at the reflection that moved at her own whim.

“Because we will have power with him. You know as well as I Ayak that he will rule over all. It’s better to agree with him than to fight him too much.”

“I’m sure it’s more along the lines of letting him fuck you at any given moment.” Ayak smirked.

“That too.” Kaya laughed and Ayak frowned.

“I didn’t think you’d be honest….” Ayak continued to stare back frowning.

“Why? Afraid I won’t need you further?” Kaya continued laughing dressing herself in the silk dress he liked to see her in.

“That not funny.” Ayak turned her back on her twin and Kaya continued to cackle.

“You know I will always need you Ayak. We couldn’t be a pair if I didn’t.”

“Of course…” Ayak turned back around to look at the girl in the silken dress, thoroughly distressed by the reaction. “You couldn’t be rid of me if you tried.” The words held more venom than the one outside of the mirror cared to realize.

“I wouldn’t” Kaya rolled her eyes exasperated.

“And if you did try… I would be rid of you first.” Ayak laughed at the thought and Kaya laughed joining in on the joke that had crueler intentions that she realized.

“Right… sure…” Kaya laughed tying her black boots and stood smoothing her dress. “Time for a new mission.”

“There is no way no how I’m apologizing to that, bastard!” Ichigo looked at Inoue, trying to force his softest-angry look on his face as he looked at Inoue.

“I think I will have to agree with Kurosaki on this one.” Ishida adjusted his glasses. There he was outside of Urahara’s shop of the school because she needed to speak with him before the others arrived. He arrived first and Kurosaki second, Finally she came last with worry etched on her face as another argument between the two boys erupted over… over… well whatever it was over wasn’t important. “After all is plain as day Kurosaki just likes having you rely on him for everything Inoue-San.”

“That doesn’t even make sense!!” Ichigo glared. “You try to act all smart just because you’re top of your class, but the things you say are really STUPID!”

“Only stupid people wouldn’t understand.” Ishida’s temper was growing rapidly as the moments ticked on.

“Bastard!” Ichigo gritted. “It’s that attitude that will keep you a virgin till you die!” The quick change of emotions on Ishida’s face made the low blow worth it as he flustered and infuriated the Quincy in one go. This time it was Ichigo who now was smug and composed as the asshole over there lost it.

“How could you be so lewd in front of Inoue-san?!?” Ishida yelled feeling his cheeks burn in embarrassment and anger, but mostly embarrassment. Ichigo only smirked.

“Virgin…” Ichigo repeated the word and Ishida’s gaze panned over to Inoue who was looking to the sky slightly pink, embarrassed for him.

“Bastard! Like that attitude of yours is any better!” Ichigo, who had been riding on the easy track this time, fell off of it really fast and was ready to retort until…

“Urahara-San!!! OPEN UP!!!” The voice just grated on Ichigo’s nerves. “URAHARA!!! I KNOW THIS IS YOUR SHOP OPEN UP!!”

“Ungraceful.” Ishida rubbed his ears listening to the high pitch yell of a young lady.

“Oh! Ayame-San!!” Inoue called, in a flash both males looked where Inoue had been standing and kind of shocked at how fast she ran to be with the girl next to the shop’s door.

“Hmm?” She slowly turned around and froze on the spot.

“I-I-Inoue-San….” Her eyes widened further. “Ichigo?!?!?” If she hadn’t been doing anything suspicious before, everything now made her look all the more suspicious. “What are you doing here?”

“We’re waiting for our friends.” Inoue smiled. “You should stay and meet everyone.

“No, oh no! I couldn’t intrude!!!” She giggled bringing her hand to the mass of ringlets, scratching her head nervously.

“Oh…”

“Ayame, why are you here?” Ichigo looked at her.

“I came looking for a friend of Granny.” She threw a glance back at the store. Ichigo looked at her then at the store.

“A friend of Grandmother?”

“Yes… only… I think I came at a bad time.” She looked back over her shoulder, and then caught sight of Inoue who had been staring at her with her mouth open. “Inoue-San?”

“I was just thinking you always wear these kinds of dresses. They must be hard to put on” Inoue kept looking at the light red and pink dress she wore for today. “But if you’re already wearing it you must’ve rushed home and took your uniform off.”

“Uniform?” Ayame looked at Inoue.

“Yes, your school Uniform.” Aya giggled.

“You are so cute Inoue-San!” She turned her gaze to Ichigo then back to Ishida who was staring at her quite intently. “Oh, Hello other friend of Ichigo. I am Ayame.”

“Ishida.” He looked at the young lady who merely smiled at him.

“Pleasure.” She then gasped and fumbled with her bag and pulled out her cell phone with a shaky hand. “Oh…I-is it that late already? I should get going! See you Ichigo!” She took off down the street and almost as soon as she was gone the all too familiar roar of a Hallow followed. Once more the trio found themselves faced with Hallow marked with red.

“Gate….” They groaned landing, bodied hunched over. They stood their vision blurred as they swayed getting their bearings and looked at the trio.

“Quite convenient huh…” Ishida thought as defensive stances were taken as he looked past them, the girl no longer visible to them.

“I’m just saying I don’t trust her.” Ishida insisted.

“You really think she’s behind the attacks?” Inoue had that contemplative look on her face as they sat around the table in Urahara’s shop.

“You really think its Ichigo’s cousin though?” Rukia just stared at the dark haired male glancing in the direction of a closed door.

“But that could just be the cover she’s hoping that will protect her.” Yoruichi said in between slurps, now turning out to be her feeding time, one stack of bowls at her right, and a space where Urahara had been sitting, till Ichigo brought up the name Mina, at her left. “Are you sure?”

“I’ve notice her a couple of times. Each time right before the Hallow attacks she vanishes.” Ishida spoke up again.

“That is true…” Inoue’s voice came out soft; disbelieving. The room fell silent.

“Yeah thanks for nothing!!” Ichigo came back to the room a small white parcel in hand and plopped on the floor beside Yoruichi and Inoue.

“I only did as told, Kurosaki-Kun!” Urahara sat next to Ichigo.

“What’s with the atmosphere?” Ichigo looked around the room at the contemplative faces.

“Well, lets get to business shall we?” Urahara snapped his fan shut and eyes raised to his general direction. “What we have been able to discern is that the Hallows appearing are anything but ordinary Hallows.” He paused. “Aside from the very prominent markings they bear, These Hallows are synthetically created. There is someone out there, not necessarily in Hueco Mundo, but they are desiring a way into the Gate, more commonly known as the Hearts Gate. The created Hallow mentions as much every time.”

“What is this Gate?” Renji piped up quite randomly.

“Well, that’s the thing, only the guardian of the gate knows what it is, what it contains. The only known thing is if its taken over in hostility bad things happen.” Urahara pulled his fan out and began to fan himself once more.

“Well that much was obvious. We need more information on it.”

“Well, then you should know Kurosaki-Kun, that thing I gave you was Mina’s. She was the last known Guardian… I suggest you seek out this guardian and ask them.”

“And this will help find the guardian?” Ichigo unwrapped the small white parcel. Inside was a stone of a deep crimson cut in the shape of a heart.

“It seems likely doesn’t it?”

*~*~*~

“That led to nothing fast…” Ishida grumbled making his way to his apartment building. All he had managed to do was get his adrenaline up because of Kurosaki, and work up a sweat over those Hallow.

Thank you very much!” A voice called out, a voice far too cheery for the end of the day just grated on his ears.

“No problem young miss. Just keep going to internationals.” A deeper voice followed as he neared the fourth floor of his apartment building. There stood two young men, faces flushed and shirts covered in sweat.

“Oh stop, you guys treat me like a celebrity.” A giggle continued. “Maybe sometime you two could meet Maiku, he loves the fans!”

“Wow, that would be nice.” One of the young men bowed.

“Don’t let anyone discourage you two just because you are boys who like to dance now okay?” Shuffling and a head of curls appeared in the door way as the two young men walked off.

“Alright, Miyafune-San.” The boys bowed once more and left grinning at the young lady proceeded to wave them farewell. After they vanished down the stairwell she had managed to catch Ishida Uryuu in the eye.

“Ah! You’re Ichigo’s friend!” She waved.

“Something like that.” Ishida just looked at her.

“You live in this building too?” She just smiled cutely, something about her seemed a bit older than the rest of her just then.

“One floor up.” He adjusted the tie to his uniform.

“Well, I’m sure you’ve school work to do. Work hard, Ichigo’s Friend!” She continued to smiled, wave good bye and retreat into her apartment. Once inside Ishida stared at the door that much harder.

“Hardly a coincidence…”
