I do not own Bleach, nor the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Nap Time
I feel like a loser for writing these...but they make me laugh :D
This idea struck me from Vamprina's comment. It's not what you think though...hope you enjoy it, whoever reads this...

"Oy, wake up..." Zaraki grunted, flashing a half hearted glare to the small pink and black lump beside him as he fanned himself a little.
Yachiru had been asleep for three hours now... He sighed. They'd only gone out for a short walk around Rukongai and decided to take a break. So, naturally, Zaraki had produced a bottle of sake from his sleeve and flopped himself down onto a random bench at the side of the pathway. Yachiru had run around for a while, trying to catch butterflys and other silly things.
Eventually she'd gotten bored, and collapsed in his lap, snoozing lightly.
After an hour, he'd decided to move on, picked her up and carried her the rest of the way.
However, due to his lack of decent navigational skills, they had ended up deeper into the village. So he'd chosen to rest at a small tea shop, laying Yachiru down beside him, her little head resting on his leg.
That had been an hour and a half ago, and Hell if he was getting stuck here. Even if she was almost as hopeless as him with directions, she was his navigator.
"I ain't sayin' it again. Wake the fuck up," he said, poking her shoulder and jostling his leg slightly to shake her.
Large brown eyes cracked open slowly, hazily blinking up at him and she smiled a little, reaching up and scratching her head.
"Ken-chan..." she mumbled sleepily, pulling herself up and shuffling over to hug his arm.
He ignored her and finished off his tea, hiding his affection succesfully.
Yachiru, being so carefree and having so much fun with everything, rarely got scared. Therefore, she hardly ever had nightmares. Whenever she did, however, Zaraki always ended up tucking her in beside him, muttering gruffly that he'd kick the monster's ass if it ever came back. It was only on those rare occasions that he saw he wake up, and the joy he felt at the sight never failed to shock him.
"I had a funny dream..." she told him, nuzzling her face in his sleeve. A smile flickered to his face briefly before he hid it with his tea cup.
"What happened?"
"Yama-chan ossan got eaten by a large dog. Then Ichi-chan came and drank milk with me," she explained, giggling slightly. He frowned, chosing not to ask after a while. Her dreams were always weird.
"Hn..." he grunted. She looked up, hugging a little tighter.
"Then you came over and kicked him out of the way before we went on an adventure," she continued. He held back a laugh. She noticed this, and smiled.
"Will we go back now?" she asked. He nodded and sighed as he stood, allowing her to hop up onto his back.
"Can ya remember the way?" he asked, having absolutely no faith in her answer.
"Umm...yeah! It's that way!" she cried, pointing in the opposite direction they'd come from. He chose not to remember this and headed off, half noticing the sun kissing the horizon.
At this rate they wouldn't get back to base for a few hours...
