Chapter Four: Caught!

Of all places to be on a Friday night, I would have never expected to find myself at a high school football game. I knew the moment I paid my way into the stadium that I would have rather been at home, curled up on my couch, reading a book. Around me were screaming fans decked out in the school colours while waving around foam fingers and noise makers. I sighed as I trudged my way up the tunnel.

Bright lights made me squint as I came out into the open. A few people pushed passed me to get to the bleachers. I felt like turning and leaving and forgetting ever coming to such an event, but, when I heard my name called, I couldn’t help but stay.

“Uryuu!” I knew who it was before I even turned. Forcing a smile, I finally turned to see Rukia coming to me. The skirt to her cheerleading uniform was ungodly short, the deep red contrasting with her pale, toned legs. She ran to me and wrapped me in a tight hug. “I’m glad you could make it!”

“Yeah… I said I’d be here, right?” I smiled again, lifting a hand to rub the back of my head. “So, uh… where do I go?” I laughed nervously.

“Hmm… well, you could come sit in my section.” Before I could even ask, she had taken my wrist and dragged me down a flight of stairs to a section that still had a few open areas in the seats. “This is my section; I’ll be mostly down in front here.” She grinned at me then. “Then I’ll be able to come sit with you during our halftime break.” She sighed as her coach yelled for her. “I’ll see you later, okay?” I nodded. She smiled and turned to hop over the railing to join her squad.

Turning finally, I saw a few people staring at me, as if they couldn’t believe that I was here. Sighing, I moved to sit in an open area, setting my bag down in front of me. I still had enough room to at least do some homework while I was at the game.

But, I later found out doing homework was a bad idea. By the time the game started, it had gotten too loud to even think, or read at that. So, I shoved everything into my bag and concentrated on watching the game. I still wasn’t quite sure what people saw in sports. Especially with this brutal sport where boys ran around and tackling each other for a funny shaped brown ball.

Halfway through the second quarter, we were down by one, as our kicker had missed a field goal. We had the ball with third and goal. The ball was snapped to Kurosaki who then maneuvered around the other team’s boys and headed towards the goal line. Right as his foot crossed the line for the touchdown, one of the other boys took him down. The snap and strangled cry could be heard across the field.

It went dead quiet throughout the stadium after that short moment. Everyone sat down and waited. Coaches rushed to the fallen boy, who lay in the end zone, clutching his left arm, and fighting back cries of pain. The coaches hovered over him a moment before the game’s EMS crew rushed to the scene. They helped him up and off the field.

He was able to walk, which in my opinion, was a good thing. He lifted his good arm and waved. People around me cheered, glad to see he was okay. I watched as he was helped off towards the locker room, obviously to remove his gear and be checked out as soon as possible. The game resumed shortly after. Now, we were ahead by five.

I glanced towards Rukia, who had watched after Ichigo being taken off the field. I could tell from where I was sitting she was indeed worried about him. I sighed to myself then. Needing a bit of fresh air and a moment away from most of the noise, I stood and picked up my bag and headed out of the stands to the open area behind them.

There, the noise was less intense, giving me a time to lose myself in my thoughts. I don’t know how long I stood there, staring off into the distance. I could hear the cheers of the fans, but it all seemed so far off. I barely heard the buzzer indicating that the first half of the game was over. But, I continued to stand there.

“Uryuu?” A voice called behind me, bringing me from my thoughts. I turned slowly, seeing the one person I didn’t expect to see. Orihime. I forced a smile and nodded to her. “What are you doing here?” she asks.

“I came to see the game, obviously.” Why else would I be at a school football game.

“Oh.” She looked down a moment. “I’ve just… never seen you come to one before.”

“Well, I don’t really come to them all that often. I just wanted to tonight.”

“I see.” She glanced off a moment. “Pretty intense second quarter, huh? I hope… Kurosaki-kun is okay.”

“I’m sure he is. He’ll be back to his old self in no time.” I don’t know why I was being positive about the whole thing. It wasn’t like I cared for the well being of the other boy. Perhaps it was just to comfort Orihime’s thoughts. I saw her nod and look up with a smile.

“Yeah, you’re right. He’s strong enough to pull through.”

“There you are!” I heard a call to my side. I looked up to see Rukia standing a few feet away. “Oh… am I interrupting something?” She asks, looking between me and Orihime.

“Oh, no, not at all,” I answered, smiling.

“I was just going,” Orihime says softly. “It was good to see you, Uryuu, Kuchiki-san.” She bowed ever so slightly and turned to leave us both. When the ginger haired girl was out of range, Rukia turned to me a bit more.

“So, what was that about?” she asks, a hand resting on her hip.

“I’m really not sure. I came out here to get some air. It was getting a little warm out there in the stands. And, she just came up and started talking. She also mentioned that she hoped Kurosaki was okay.” I saw a dark look cross over Rukia’s eyes. “Is he okay?”

“He’ll be fine,” she answered. “He dislocated his shoulder and there’s supposedly a chip in his collarbone. They’re taking him to the hospital for an x-ray to see if there isn’t anything else wrong. He’ll be out of the games for at least a month or two.”

“I bet he’s loving that idea.”

“No kidding. With us being seniors… and with scouts looking for good players… I’m worried that a scout will over look him while he’s out of commission.” She sighed, looking down a moment. I moved some, wrapping my arms around her in a gentle embrace.

“He’ll be fine, just like you said. Don’t worry about it.”

“I know he’s going to be needy while he’s crippled the way he is. I’m dreading that.” I laughed at that. “So not funny! I’m going to end up being his little slave until he gets better.”

“I’m sorry. It was just funny to hear you say that. It’s hard to picture Kurosaki as a needy person.” I lifted my hand to brush it through Rukia’s raven locks, letting out a quiet sigh. “And it’s not fair of him to use you like a personal slave just because he’s injured. That’s not right at all.” I stared down at her a moment, my hand trailing to cup her cheek, running the pad of my thumb across her cheek. I sighed again, leaning down to kiss her. I let out another quiet sigh feeling her mouth against mine. She was soft and sweet at the same time.

The scoreboard buzzer went off and she pulled away abruptly with a gasp. She looked up at me in apology.

“Oh… breaks over,” she says softly. She lifted a hand, lightly running it down my chest with a smile. “I’ve got to get back to the squad. Will you meet me at the locker room after the game? I want to walk home with you. Byakuya nii-sama’s not expecting me home until late anyway.” She winked at me.

“Um… sure, I guess so.” She beamed at me again and leaned up, pressing a kiss to my cheek.

“See you then, Uryuu.” With another chaste kiss, she turned and ran away from me. I watched her as she disappeared down the tunnel to head back to the squad on the track.

I sighed a moment, leaning back against the fence behind me, letting my eyes close for a short moment. I never heard the footsteps approach me until I heard the voice speak.

“That’s a dangerous game you’re playing, Ishida.”

I frowned, opening my eyes and looking to where the voice came from. I saw the towering form of Abarai Renji standing near me, leaning against the same fence. The taller man had his trademark white bandana tied around his tattooed forehead.

“I’m sorry?” I ask, not quite sure what he meant.

“That’s a dangerous game you’re playing,” he repeated. “Kuchiki-san is off limits.”

“Says who?” I lifted a thin brow at the older man. “She’s more than welcome to see who she wants. It’s no one’s decision but her own.”

“I’m sure Kurosaki wouldn’t like finding out his girlfriend is kissing on another guy. They’ve been together for years.”

“Things change.” I looked off into the distance a bit for a moment. “Things must be going wrong if she has to seek the comfort of someone else. And I am more than willing to be that person. I’ve known her since we were in diapers. I’ve always been here for her and I’ll continue to be that way.”

“Suit yourself. But, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Be careful, Ishida. You’re a great guy and all, but Kurosaki would kill you.”

“So let him. I’ll die a happy man. I’m not afraid of him.”

“Or a stupid man. You don’t need to have your ass kicked over some girl.”

“Unfortunately, Rukia is not ‘some girl’. Rukia is a great girl and deserves someone to treat her right, not like some arm trophy to carry around to show off to people. And if he can’t see that then… I don’t know. He doesn’t deserve her.”

“And you do?” I turned to look at him then.

“I don’t know what I deserve anymore. Whatever happens, happens.” I pushed away from the fence then. “I’m going to go back and watch the rest of the game. You take care of yourself, Renji. It was good to see you’re still hanging around after all.”

“You too. Again, be careful.”

“I will.” I smirked a moment, moving to head back down the tunnel to disappear into the crowd.

After another hour and a half, the game finally ended. Karakura High won, even with Kurosaki being rushed away to the hospital. As the stadium emptied, I soon found my way towards the locker rooms just as Rukia asked of me.

Standing in the semi dark hall, I leaned against a wall to wait. The lights above me flickered in the most eerie of ways. I hated that the girls had to walk through such a hall. Even I didn’t feel safe. Near by, a door opened and I heard girls laughing as they exited. I watched them as they passed me, but, I didn’t see Rukia with them. I frowned. It had been the entire squad that had passed me by without a second glance.

’Hn… what a trusting group… I could be a creep and they’re leaving one behind? What a wonderful squad.’ I thought to myself as I headed towards the door they had come out of.

I pushed open the door slowly, peeking in slowly. I didn’t see anyone else, however, I heard water running. I felt my pulse quicken a moment. The other girls had left Rukia here in the locker room and she was alone in the shower. Real safe, really. I glanced down the hall again before moving into the locker room, letting the door shut behind me.

“Rukia?” I called out, moving into the room more. Even here the lights flickered overhead. I made a note to let the principal know that the girl’s locker room was in poor shape. But then again, I knew I’d have to explain to him what I was doing in the girl’s locker room. “Rukia, are you in here?” I heard a soft laughing then. I frowned, setting my bag down. “Rukia…?” I glanced around again, moving towards the showers.

I nearly jumped out of my skin when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. I gasped, looking behind me to see Rukia standing there with a smile on her face.

“You came,” she says softly. She moved some and I noticed then she was still nude. I blushed, looking away.

“Because you asked me to. You know, it’s a bit unnerving that you’re alone here in this creepy locker room. I can’t believe your squad left you alone here.”

“I told them to leave,” she says softly. Her arms moved a bit and I felt her hands working my shirt from my pants. “I’m so glad you’re here,” she whispers softly. I felt her press a kiss to my spine through my shirt. I shuttered. When her hands moved to my belt, I placed a hand over hers.

“Rukia, what are you doing?” I asked softly.

“What does it look like? I’m going to take off your pants.” I blushed again, letting my eyes close.

“Why?”

“You’ll see.” She let out a quiet laugh, shooing my hand away. I bit my lip as she unbuckled the belt and let her fingers work the button and zipper down. I let out a gasp as her hands moved into the open material and pressed against my hardening cock. “Someone’s awake,” she purrs softly.

“Yeah,” I whispered, looking off a moment. I hissed when she tugged down both my pants and boxers. I bit back a moan when a hand closed around the base of my member.

“Wow,” I heard her murmur. “It’s so… nice.” I groaned. Then she moved. My eyes opened to look at her to find that she was now on her knees before me. I blushed more then.

“Rukia…?” I asked, unsure. She smiled at me.

“Just relax,” she answered, her hand closing around me again. “You’ll enjoy this.”

Before I could protest, her mouth had engulfed my hardened organ. I gasped, moaning at the same time. Out of reflex, my hands moved to her head, holding on ever so delicately. My fingers thread through her hair again. Who would have known this would feel so well? I looked down at her to see her eyes looking up at me as her mouth worked on me. I couldn’t help but smile at her. She purred.

I let out a gasp at the sensation running through my groin and through my body. I moaned then, my eyes closing. She moved then, her head bobbing. I felt her tongue swirl around the head of my cock, licking at the slit, then back down the vein underneath. She took me deep, as I felt the tip brush against the back of her throat.

“Rukia…” I groaned, stroking her hair. She worked faster then, moaning herself. My legs shook under me. I knew if she kept this up, I wouldn’t last much longer. I could already feel the tightening in my groin, even as I did my best to hold back. “Rukia, I’m gonna come,” I whispered to her. I felt her smile around me, looking up at me again. She pulled back, panting.

“Oh?” She asks. Her hands moved along me, squeezing and stroking. I groaned again, looking down at her. “That would be great.” She smirked, her mouth closing around me again. I let out a light cry, my toes curling.

“Ahh…! Rukia…!” I gasped. She sucked and bobbed her head again. Just looking at her again, I lost it. My hands gripped her hair ever so slightly as my hips thrust forward. I came at last, emptying into her mouth. She didn’t pull away when I did. I could feel her throat working against me as she swallowed all that she could. A small amount trickled down her mouth and chin. She pulled away after a moment with a wet pop. I watched her through hazy eyes as she wiped her mouth with a smirk.

“I told you that you would like it,” she purred with a grin at me. I responded with a groan. She laughed softly. “I’m going to get dressed, and then we can head out.” She stood. I heard her knees pop and couldn’t help but smile.

I leaned against the wall behind me a moment to catch my breath before leaning down to tug my pants back up. Right as I fastened my belt again, she returned to my side in her practice uniform; the uniform that consisted of her jogging pants and school shirt. She toted her bag on one shoulder.

“Ready to go?” she asks with a smile.

“Yeah,” I answered, still a bit breathless. She grinned, reaching out to take my hand to pull me along.

“Good. I’m curious to see just how good that mouth of yours is as well.” She winked at me. I froze. She wanted me to repay the favor? I wasn’t too sure I’d be able to do that for her. I was still pretty inexperienced in that department.

“Really?” I asked then, looking at her. She grinned and nodded.

“But of course. Come on, silly.”

Without saying another word, I picked up my bag and followed her out of the locker room. Once out, she took my hand again and I walked along beside her out of the building and into the fresh air. She squeezed my hand and grinned up at me again. I smirked back at her. This was going to be an interesting night.

The walk back to my apartment didn’t take as long as I had expected. It took less time to get back than it did to get to the stadium. Perhaps it had been the anxiety and thrill of having Rukia with me and the anticipation of what we were planning to go through with.

I heard a small laugh behind me as I fumbled with my keys, trying to open the door. However, with her hands running along me, I couldn’t focus long enough to get the key in the damn hole.

When I finally got it in, I heard her gasp and pull away from me. Frowning, I looked back. She was looking out into the darkness like a deer caught in the headlights.

“Rukia…?” I asked, looking to where she was standing. I felt a sense of dread wash over me. Standing there, was Ichigo. He had rage written all over his face.

“So, it’s true,” he hissed, amber eyes narrowing. “I didn’t want to believe it, but, I had to see it for myself. I can’t believe you’re sneaking around behind my back with… with… him.” He gestured to me. “I could have understood if it was Abarai, but… him?”

“Ichigo…” She started towards him.

“No. Don’t ‘Ichigo’ me.” He brought his hand up to stop her. “How could you?” He looked to me then and I swear I saw a fire in his eyes. “And you…”

Before I could even register what was happening, I heard Rukia let out a sharp scream. There was a blur of red and grey, a hard slap, and another yelp. I saw Ichigo standing over Rukia, who was holding her cheek, glaring at him. He’d hit her.

“Don’t hit her,” I growled. “Don’t you ever touch her again. It’s no reason she came to me after seeing what you do to her.” He rounded on me then, that fire still in his eyes. “I think you should leave.”

He smirked at me then and stood up straight. He squared his shoulders as much as he could when a sling held up his left arm. Left arm. And then I realized that Ichigo was right handed. I mentally cursed at myself.

“As you wish,” he hissed.

I saw him lift his right arm. I heard Rukia yell at me to move. But, I was entirely too slow. There was a sharp pain as his fist connected with my face before everything went dark.
