Ah, the freedom of the great outdoors… is what you would be saying if this woods didn’t feel like it was swallowing you whole. You are pretty sure that during the daytime this is like a normal forest with a park and a baseball diamond. Tonight though? It’s all twisting branches and knobby roots working to catch at your hair and feet. At least the moon is nice and full so you’re not in complete darkness. You don’t remember any of the woods around your house being this big. Well, you tell yourself, it’s got to end somewhere and push on. Deeper and deeper into the trees you walk, trying to ignore the sounds of... something just beyond your line of sight. You crest a hill and see what might be a glimmer of firelight through the tree trunks. Do you investigate?
