Chapter Six: The Echoes of Realization

My taicho is in love with me...

The realization smacks me like a blizzard on a cold December winter and I smiled to myself as I made dinner for us. I didn't want him to know yet. I wanted him to keep thinking I didn't figure it out just yet.

Smiles broadly.

I made his favorites and I did something out-of-character and brought dinner to his office knowing he was still working. He only smiled as I placed the plates and the food on the table which my godmother uses a desk for us to eat.

We ate in silence for the most part as taicho decided to talk about what was on the agenda for tomorrow. I wondered why he was giving the day-off. I didn't bother to ask. I just smiled like an innocent child.

Sighs.

After we ate dinner, I offered to help taicho with his work, but he declined my help like he has been for weeks. I just nodded my head and left.

Hmm.

I guess I'll go ask big brother number two for help to snare my taicho into telling me how he really feels about me. I know it is sneaking, but the damn man won't answer me directly if I ask him directly I think. I cleaned the kitchen and went to bed soon after.

The next morning...

Yawns.

I went to the Ninth where I knew Yumichika would be with his boyfriend Hisagi. I politely knocked on the door and Hisagi opened the door half sleep-half awake. He smiled at me when I heard Yumichika chime from the kitchen,

"Come on in Princess,"

Okay, that always scares the crap out of me whenever he does that.

I raised an eyebrow when I saw my taicho there as well. He didn't look at me. Was he avoiding me or something? Now I'm annoyed as fuck.

I put my right hand on my right hip and I glared coldly which had my taicho looking everywhere except me as I snapped,

"Hitsugaya Tōshirō, don't think I haven't noticed that you haven't come home in over in a month and you have been avoiding me at work as well, and I want to know why?"

My taicho blushes as Hisagi and Yumichika watches on.

I cup his cheek in my hand smiling and gave him a chaste kiss on his lips. "I'll be at home waiting for an answer. If you must know, I knew how you felt about me for a while." I stated, smiling looking into his beautiful eyes.

I turn away to leave when I was pulled back onto his lap and I felt his cool breath against my ear,

" I love you, my fiesty Snow Princess."

Yumichika squealed with joy as we both shared a kiss.

Blushes.

I laughed happily as Hisagi pat Hitsugaya on the left shoulder.

Of course, my mother, my stepfather, Ikkaku, and my godparents were told and all they said, "About damn time."

Laughing out loud.
