Memories of the Father- Renji/Ichigo/OC

Bleach Confessions
Kisuke's P.O.V.
I do not own Bleach
By: Lyrical Justice

I'm sitting on a boulder watching as my daughter, Benihime (yes, my daughter is my zanpakutō's namesake, you may take it up with my zanpakutō if you want, but I highly recommend you don't.) Benihime drop-kicks Yumichika off his feet who attempted to punch her. I could see the expressionless look on her heart-shaped face which is never a good sign I almost started to laugh when I have seen the look of disbelief on his face..priceless.

I hid a smile behind my fan beside me sitting on another huge boulder is Abarai Renji on his lap sat his lover Kurosaki Ichigo(Bounts Arc) both were shaking their heads at how stupid Yumichika is. They both knew to compare her to Aizen, Ichimaru, and Tosen. Well mostly to Tosen because he had betrayed Seireitei and Gotei 13 and he was blind was asking for trouble. I am waiting for Tōga to join the scene.

I'm getting nostalgia I believe. I took out my pipe and began to smoke on it thoughtfully as I kept a watchful eye on my Benny as she grappled with The Eleventh Divisioners. I flashback to that early May morning when Izayoi woke me up and in pain. I rushed her to Karakura Hospital and it was Ishida Ryūken who took care of Izayoi.

It was 4:30 AM of May 21, 1989, when Izayoi went into labor and it was 9:44 AM of May 22, 1989, when our baby girl graces us with her presence. My daughter had been born with jaundice and she had been born blind. Izayoi and I very much doubt that these handicaps would stop her.

Sighs.

My daughter had been placed under a special lamp that emits light in the blue-green spectrum or phototherapy for a few days and jaundice disappeared. I was relieved of course, but my baby girl wasn't allowed to come home yet. Izayoi and I wouldn't leave her for one second. My baby girl needs to put on weight. She weighed three pounds two ounces.

Hm.

My baby girl had many visitors like The Visoreds, Yoruichi, her grandparents Hakurei and Vittoria, her uncle Usagi, her grand-uncle Tetsujin, Kurosaki Isshin, Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni, Ukitake Jūshirō, Kyōraku Shunsui, Unohana Retsu, and Kuchiki Byakuya. Of course, it surprised me, when they had come and I am talking about the soutaicho and the four taichos of the Gotei Thirteen.

Hm.

Izayoi looks at the lock of crimson red hair and looks over at Benihime and smiles fondly, "I suppose this is your doing and with your permission I want to name her after you?" To my surprise, Benihime had materialized and walks over to the small crib and looks over at Izayoi and nods. Now you all know how my baby girl got her name. Benny is the nickname my father-in-law gave her.

Sighs.

I pulled out a photo album and caressed it fondly and opened it fondly. Fond memories of both my girls Izayoi and Benihime, my entire world. I came to the first picture of all her visitors doting on her. I had to stifle a laugh when Benny had tugged on Yamamoto's beard for tickling her with it. Apparently, my daughter doesn't like facial hair well that explains the sippy cup always launched at my head, hahaha!. I saw how Kensei would hold my daughter and let her babble at him or how Lisa would read to her. I smiled fondly at this and I asked them to be her godparents while Izayoi had asked Yoruichi and Ryūken.

Five months later, Urahara Benihime was baptized and the party that followed was enjoyable, to say the least. It was about this time Benny would scoot across the floor I thought it was weird but Izayoi thought it was adorable. Seven months, Benihime took her first step and there went the neighborhood so to speak.

Sighs.

All day it was, "Benihime, leave that alone or get away from there". I swear Benihime drove Izayoi and me up the proverbial wall. Then at nine months she uttered her first word " Daddy", I believed Izayoi got a little jealous, but I was so overjoyed. Her second word was, of course, "Mama" and soon other words followed like no.

Damn.

As Benihime got older, it was noticeable that Izayoi and I were different and drifting apart, but we stayed together for Benny's sake.

Smiles proudly.

I flipped the page and I remember her first day of school. My brave little redhead didn't cry she just let go of our hands and went over to another blind boy named Sasaki Shuichi and a blind girl named Takeda Yui who were both crying and befriended them. The three of them were and still are inseparable.

Smiles sadly.

Izayoi and I divorced after Benny's ninth birthday. Benny wanted to stay with me. Izayoi allowed her to because Benny and I were close and still are. Izayoi had remarried and moved to Kyoto. Benny would visit her mother and stepfather from time to time.

I was there for her first dance. I was there for her first heartbreak. It was her sixteenth birthday when Tōga had flew into the Shoten and nearly took my head off, I swear he hates me. Benihime, however, scolds him and told him to behave.

Soon after that, I put my daughter through her paces with a little help from the others. I just watched as she just absorbs, overcomes everything thrown at her just as she always had even now.

Of course, I was saddened when my daughter moved out after her high school graduation. I can only say I am proud of her. I wouldn't tell her to come home whenever as Benihime puts it bluntly, "Seireitei can't handle their own shit."

Hehe.

I would either call Kensei or Ryūken if they could get my darling child to come home mostly for my sanity and yes, I am very overprotective of my only child and proud of it too. My daughter would stay with Ryūken because I was just too overbearing and protective. I am not although my daughter would beg to differ.

We moved in time as Yumichika went crashing into the boulders.

I see a lot of her grandfather in her, but she does have her mother's beauty and heart. Her intelligence and primal instincts probably exceed mine or just equal to mine.

I am and always will be one proud Daddy.

We heard a growl as a humongous wild white dog appears beside Benihime,

"Who dares insult my Benihime?" Tōga rumbles angrily.

*Oh crap,* I thought to myself.
