Darkephoenix~ I’m very happy you are still enjoying it. Please continue to read my humble

writings.

AN: Please forgive some of Gin’s emotional ramblings in this chapter I wanted to use this point in my story to emphasize that he is not emotionless but don’t worry Shinso will slap some sense into him. This chapter took me a long time to write due to the fact that there isn’t as much dialogue as in previous chapters.

Coming Home

Chapter 8

Gin collapsed into the chair Byakuya had vacated at the end of their game. His heart was pounding and his knees were weak. Such a reaction was unexpected. Standing slowly to prevent unnecessary pain, Gin made his way towards his room. It would be pointless to try and talk to Byakuya anymore tonight. Sitting down slowly on his bed, Gin contemplated the emotions running through his head. The physical he could deal with but when it came to emotions, he had locked his away for so long that he didn’t know how to deal with them.

The ache in his loins drew him from his reverie. Their would be no rest tonight if it wasn’t taken care of. Gin growled low in his throat as his fingers brushed his erection. He hadn’t been this hard since he was a teenager. The throbbing in his cock mirrored the throbbing of his heart in his chest. Keeping his touch light he traced fingers over the purple head down towards the base following the line of veins that ran up the sides.

Cupping his balls gently, Gin began to message them while his other hand grasped his erection at it’s base. Gin began a hard in fast rhythm, pre-cum causing his hand to slide along his erection with little friction. His body could not handle slow tonight. It NEEDED release. Gin panted as he felt his orgasm begin. Maintaining the fast pumping of his hand, Gin gave a low shout as he exploded into his hand. Pleasure trailed up his spine, causing his body to shiver in the aftermath of his orgasm. Though his body began to relax in satiation, his heart was cold. No amount of orgasms could replace the longing for physical contact.

Sighing, Gin cleaned himself, then pulled the covers over his body. Mind still racing over what had occurred in the library. Could he and Byakuya really be together. He was after all a former traitor even if it was under the orders of the Soul Society. Though pardoned, memories ran long and the Kuchiki clan was not known to forget. Would they ever allow a relationship with their clan head and another man. It was after all Byakuya’s duty to provide another heir to follow him as head of the Kuchiki clan.

‘Fuck them’ came the voice from deep in his consciousness. Gin smiled, Shinso was Gin’s voice of reason when the darkness seemed too great and as such made his opinion known even if unwanted. Gin wasn’t sure he would have survived being Aizen’s lapdog for so long without loud zanpakuto.

‘If they don’t want to accept what you have with Byakuya then fuck them. Life is too short to live full of regrets and you are getting too fucking soft if you allow yourself to wallow in self doubt.’ Shinso was on a roll tonight.

‘As always, Shinso, ya are my voice of reason.’ said Gin as a grin began to curl on his face and plans for Byakuya formed in his mind. Things were definitely going to pick up around here. With that thought and a smile on his face, Gin drifted towards sleep.

Morning light filtered into room softening the shadows and promising a beautiful day. Gin stretched slightly, acknowledging the small pain in his chest. Almost completely healed, the large slash in his chest only ached slightly. Rolling out of bed, Gin walked into his washroom and ran water for a bath. Having decided that he no longer needed Toya to wait on him hand and foot, Gin had encouraged the servant to return his normal duties. With much reluctance Toya had agreed but still remained mindful of Gin and his needs.

Releasing a sigh of pleasure as he slid into the warm sandalwood scented water. Thoughts of the recent days filtered through his mind as he relaxed into the warmth. Just as Byakuya had predicted, the day following her attack Rukia presented herself before him to apologize.

The tiny shinigami seemed truly sorry for the misunderstanding, though the fear was still evident in her manner. Knowing full well the image that he had always projected to the entire Soul Society, Gin could not hold a grudge. Grinning playfully, he had agreed to accept her apology on the promise that as soon as Unohana-taicho releases him to begin sparring Rukia would spar with him. Knowing what fun she would provide him considering their past history, Gin grinned in anticipation.

Byakuya, on the other hand, had been conspicuously absent since their kiss in the library. Leaving each morning before Gin rose and arriving late each night caused a huge source of enjoyment for Gin. Knowing he had the nobleman on the run gave him a perverted sense of pleasure. ‘I’ll let him hide for a little longer.’ thought Gin with a grin as he finished his bath and walked naked towards the bedroom.

Dressing in his newly acquired shihakusho and haori, Gin tied Shinso to his waist and walked towards the practice room Toya had showed him the day before. The excitement in his step was mirrored in the excitement that thrummed through the zanpakuto at his waist. Shinso had missed training and sparring as much as Gin.

The previous day Unohana-taicho on her standard visit had deemed Gin well enough to begin practicing with Shinso, but gave strict warnings not to over do it as he was still healing. The moment Unohana-taicho left after clearing Gin for light swordplay, Gin had Toya showing him to the practice area that Byakuya’s father had built upon his acceptance into the Shinigami Academy. The large building provided a spacious sparring ring as well as an extensive Kidou library and Kidou practice targets.

Grinning widely, Gin drew Shinso from his sheath and began practice. His body though mostly healed had lost some of its stamina which was understandable. Gin decided that his future sparring with Rukia, and eventually Byakuya, would do much to aiding him in returning to his previous fighting strength. ‘In fact’ Gin thought with a grin, ‘Rukia should be arriving at any moment.’

Just as that thought entered his mind, the petite shinigami entered the practice building. Her apprehension was palatable in the air.

“Come in, Rukia dear.” Gin called, grinning as what little color in her face slowly drained. ‘Asshole, the poor girl is terrified and you are enjoying it.’ came Shinso’s voice.

‘Only a little.’ Gin replied as he walked towards the small woman. Deciding to take pity on her, Gin gently placed a hand on her shoulder. Rukia jumped then slowly began to relax under the touch. “I’m jus’ playing with ya.” Gin said quietly.

“I was serious when I asked ya here. I need to build my stamina back.” Gin said as he escorted Rukia towards the sparring ring.

“Ichimaru-taicho, would I really be any competition to you?” asked Rukia. Gin stopped and looked down at the small woman and contemplated his answer.

“No, but ya will help me build up my endurance.” Gin stated truthfully.

“Unohana-taicho gave me strict orders not to over do it.” grinned Gin devilishly, “So don’t go and try to kill me” Drawing Shinso quickly from his sheath he charged at the small shinigami. Rukia lunged away hand quickly going to remove Sode no Shirayuki from her waist. Quickly taking a defensive position, Rukia prepared for another assault from the grinning man. Jumping quickly out of reach once again, Rukia used this time to gauge Gin’s movements. Though it was obvious the grinning man was enjoying chasing her around the arena, Rukia noticed that he was beginning to tire, partly from holding back enough to prevent injury to her and partly due to his lost stamina. His jabs were becoming slower and his breath was beginning to come in pants.

“Dance, Sode no Shirayuki.” called Rukia as her zanpakuto released its shikai form.

Considered the most beautiful of all the snow and ice zanpakuto in the Soul Society, Sode no Shirayuki was a sight to behold. Even Gin could respect the beauty and strength that the zanpakuto held. Rukia raised her blade and began an assault of her own. Gin allowed her the upper hand.

“First Dance: White Moon” said Rukia. Immediately a white circle began to form around Gin’s feet. Retreating quickly, Gin barely avoided being frozen in the icy pillar that rose from the floor. Using that moment of cool down, Gin shunpo directly behind Rukia and raised Shinso to her throat. Placing his lips directly beside her ear, Gin whispered “Well done, Rukia dear.” Rukia stiffened and growled. She hadn’t even seen him move. This was truly a dangerous man to cross, no wonder Aizen had been drawn to him.

Gin lowered Shinso and slowly made his way towards the wall. Leaning heavily against the stone frame, he slowly slide until he was sitting. Breath coming in pants, Gin remained grinning, eyes closed as he rested. He heard Rukia step towards him.

“Ichimaru-taicho, are you alright?” she asked quietly.

Gin nodded “I’m fine, jus’ a little winded.”

“Were ya worried about me?” asked the grinning man unable to resist poking a little fun at the younger Kuchiki. “And here I thought ya didn’t care about me.”

Rukia huffed and turned away “I just don’t like seeing Byakuya worried.”

“Oh?”

“Its obvious that my brother cares about you. Not everyone is provided a place to recover in the Kuchiki household after all.” Rukia stated. “If its alright with you I think I’ll head back to headquarters.”

Gin grinned at her statement that Byakuya actually cared. Standing slowly, Gin waved a hand at the retreating girl. “Bye-Bye, Rukia dear.”

Shinso gave a sigh of contentment, though his shikai wasn’t released he had thoroughly enjoyed the match. ‘That was fun. I have to say that Rukia girl has spunk to release her shikai on you in what was supposed to be a simple sword match.’ Gin grinned as secured Shinso once more at his waist.

‘She is Byakuya’s sister after all. He jus’ makes a point to hide his fire.’ Gin replied to his zanpakuto. ‘And I am definitely goin’ to enjoy bringin’ it out. I think its time we put an end to Byakuya’s lil’ hidin’ game.’ Gin tucked his hands in the sleeves of his haori and started back towards the manor to wash off the sweat and dirt from the match, a cheerful tune carrying on the wind.
