Hollow Infection

Aizen infects Ichigo with a virus to force his soul to merge with his hollow. The virus destroys Ichigo's body and he's taken to the soul society for treatment this proves to be bad.

Chapter 2 The berry awakes

Ichigo Kurosaki's death had caused a massive panic. All those with superior senses felt it. Chad had bolted out of bed, he raced towards where he felt Ichigo's reitsu flare and fade. He wasn't the only one Orihime and Uryu arrived at the scene a few minutes after him. They froze at what they saw…

The orange haired male lying motionless his eyes void of life. "Orihime!" Chad spoke a bit to roughly. The girl jumped a bit. "Yes…" She rushed forward and began to try and heal him. Chad's fist were clenched and he was shaking. 'Who did this?' Chad was doing his best to hold back his killing intent, but his anger for whoever hurt his friend was great.

Uryu took a step away from Chad and stared at Ichigo. 'How did this happen?'

Orihime began to sweat as she tried to heal Ichigo. She flinched as she saw his hollow mask's eyes flash. Her barrier broke into little pieces and her spirits were forced back to their original form. Ichigo's eyes remained lifeless.

"Orihime?"

The girl started crying. "I can't heal him!"

Chad rushed forward and his eyes widened. His furry broke and he slammed his fist into the ground. The ground cracked under his force. "Chad…"

"We have to do something we need to get him to Urahara's…" Chad moved to pick him up but a shinigami gate opened up before him. Captains of Squad 1, 4, 6, 8 and 10 stood in between them.

"Ichigo Kurosaki will be taken to soul society immediately…" The head captain spoke staring at the 3.

"You can't just take him he has family here…" Uryu spoke standing beside Chad and Orihime.

"Ichigo Kurosaki is no longer among the living…"

"DON'T SAY THAT!" Chad yelled but the elder captain didn't even flinch, just glared Chad down.

"ICHIGO KUROSAKI IS NO LONGER AMONG THE LIVING AND IS NO LONGER YOUR CONCERN…" He yelled and slammed his staff on the ground.

Unohana stepped up a sad smile on her face. She looked at Orihime. "You were unable to heal him…"

Orihime nodded her tears not stopping.

"Then the cause of Ichigo's condition is more severe, if it turns out this change is a threat he will be put down permanently…"

Chad snapped. "We won't let you do that…" Chad was about to activate his power. Urahara appeared behind him and held him back.

"Enough Sado-kun, we cannot help Kurosaki now, I'm sure Kurotsuchi and Unohana can come up with a way to fix Ichigo…"

"Do not give them false hope Urahara…We felt Ichigo's life force fade from him, no matter what happens Ichigo Kurosaki is dead and will not be able to return to the world of the living again…" Kenpachi picked Ichigo up. He looked very upset. The other Captains followed as they entered the gate again. "Please inform Ichigo's kin of what has happened, I'm sure that man will wish to know…"

Urahara nodded, and the doors to the gate began to close. Chad forced himself away from Urahara. "Ichigo!" The doors closed and Chad banged on the doors.

"I'm sorry Sado-kun…"

Chad rushed and punched Urahara. "I want to know who did this…"

Urahara stared in to Chad's rage filled eyes. 'Sado do you love Ichigo?'

In Soul Society

Ichigo was rushed to the Dept of Research and Development. Squad 4 was there and the two squads went to work.

Squad 4 diagnosed that Ichigo was in a stasis period, both his heart and mind were sealed off, and power was coursing through him. Squad 4 was unable to figure out the cause of his condition.

Squad 13 was examining his new form, and the strange power that emanated from his body. "It appears he is different from a vizard and he is not exactly an Arrancar, one thing is for sure he is no longer a soul reaper."

"Then we should end him…" Soifon said walking into the room, her zanpakuto already in its released state.

"Hold it right there he is a prime specimen I won't allow you to…" Soifon moved past him ready to kill.

"He is no longer human, no longer a shinigami Aizen wants him so we end him…" Just as the stinger was about to strike Ichigo's hollow mask's eyes flashed and a barrier of blue reitsu rose up from his body to shield him from the attack.

Unohana stared in shock. 'It is similar to Orihime's attack…'

—–In Ichigo's mind—-

The once great city was destroyed. The sky was dark and Ichigo was surrounded by water. Correction he was standing in water looking down at the dark sky. Shirosaki and Zangetsu appeared on the body of water causing ripples to run across. "We are so sorry king…"

"We were unable to keep this from consuming you…" Zangetsu said and touched the water. "We will help you now…"

"You are going to wake up soon king…" Shiro said with a smile. "Try not to hurt anyone, and we will help get you back…"

Ichigo opened his mouth to say something only to have water fill his lungs and he struggled as he was pulled from his two counter parts and deeper into the water.

Ichigo's eyes shot open and he screamed the barrier breaking releasing shards of energy off in all directions. Soifon was able to dodge the attack. The roof took most of the damage. Unohana gasped. "Quickly fetch the head captain…" One of squad 4 saluted and raced off.

Kurotsuchi eyes sparkled in fascination. Soifon glared. "See he is a threat!" She rushed at him her zanpakuto aimed at his heart.

"Soifon no…" Unohana cried out but it was to late. Right where her zanpakuto was about to pierce Ichigo's heart a cero formed and it fired. Soifon was hit full blast and sent through a wall.

Ichigo's eyes swirled with life and his mask's eyes glowed.

—In Las Noches—–

"He is awake…" Aizen said with a smirk and drank from his glass of wine. "My plan is perfect…"

The 8th Espada stepped forward. "Umm Aizen-sama there is a problem…"

"What?" Aizen said the glass smashing to the floor.
